It is, that it abides thus, because the joy of the two and the attachment of attachment are completely exhausted, it abides with a completely pure mind, and by the cause of repeatedly practicing the same path as it is obtained, by that side destroying the sleep of evil destinies, it attains the subsequent liberation of complete accomplishment and complete ultimate liberation. If that is obtained, it should be known that the mind is extremely liberated. What is to be known separately? It should be known as four types. If one abides in the liberation of the learner, then that will be known separately by one's own wisdom in two ways. The actions that manifest in my evil destinies are exhausted. Other than seven births, two births, or one birth, the actions that manifest in other existences are also exhausted. I think that the path that exhausts them will never be completely destroyed, and I will practice it. If one abides in the liberation of the non-learner, then that will also be known separately by only two types. Because I have abandoned all defilements, all that should be learned has been done. If even one of my births is not left, how could there be two or seven? If one wishes, one can also give predictions to others. This is called separate self-knowledge. There are two precursory dharmas to that liberation:

There are eight bases of existence: experiencing the taste of conditioned phenomena, observing faults, examining renunciation, listening, thinking, the power of individual examination, and examining the path of seeing and meditation. Among these, if one contemplates experiencing the taste of conditioned phenomena, one will manifest and realize one's own nature from experiencing the taste of conditioned phenomena. If one contemplates the faults of these very things, one will fully understand the temporary faults of the three feelings as a common characteristic from the perspective of faults. Recognizing that "this manifestation is small, but the faults are many, and it also has the fault of being particularly attached to taste," one eliminates all desire and craving for the place of taste—conditioned phenomena, and abandons them through suppression, thereby abandoning non-conduct. By abandoning non-conduct, one becomes free from craving from its essence, but the mind is not completely liberated. By completely transcending from its self-nature, one becomes free from craving, and the mind can also be completely liberated. This is one case. Furthermore, when a yogi contemplates conditioned phenomena, initially, solely through the wisdom arising from hearing, he can, as the scriptures say, merely believe that conditioned phenomena are impermanent, or that impermanence is suffering, or that suffering is emptiness and selflessness. After he realizes this, he can fully understand that knowledge with the extremely subtle attention arising from thinking, which is accompanied by observation. Through realization and complete understanding, he correctly sees the faults of afflictive conduct related to this in this life and future lives, and thus, relying on the power of individual examination, he does not accept and abandons it. Through realization, complete understanding, and individual examination, he can enter the correct faultless place through the cause of conditioned phenomena. Having entered the faultless place, he can become free from craving through the power of the path of meditation, thereby abandoning non-conduct through the power of individual examination and the path of seeing.

And, in various ways, one abandons a portion. Through the path of meditation, one becomes free from desire. Thus, by the former two alone, one becomes free from the desire of longing, while through the path of meditation, the mind is completely liberated. There are two kinds of results of abandoning afflictions: the result of abandoning what is to be abandoned by seeing the cessation of suffering, by realizing which hell beings are exhausted, animals are exhausted, hungry ghosts are exhausted, one enters the stream, enters the dharma of not falling into evil destinies, this is the extensive explanation. The result of abandoning what is to be abandoned by meditation is that by realizing it, one becomes an Arhat who does not take another body, and the second existence will not be accomplished. Furthermore, there are two kinds of cessation of suffering: the future cessation of suffering with such causes, and the present cessation of suffering with past causes. Furthermore, there are two kinds: the cessation of suffering arising from the mind, and the cessation of suffering of the body. Furthermore, there are two kinds: the cessation of the suffering of change and the suffering of suffering, and the cessation of the suffering of conditioned suffering. Furthermore, there are two kinds: the cessation of suffering of the result of unpleasant actions, and the cessation of suffering of the result of pleasant actions. The noble hearer who sees peace, although he has transcended the fear of the suffering of evil destinies, nevertheless, because his latent tendencies are not completely exhausted, in order to abandon the fear of birth, old age, and death, which in the future is common to ordinary beings, he still needs to strive from strong desire to mindfulness and vigilance. These two are characteristics of children. Which two? That which is desired is not fully understood as it is, and that which is not desired is hoped to be accomplished. What do children desire? Because they are afraid of Nirvana, they do not want future actions not to be accomplished, they only want actions to be accomplished, therefore they desire actions to be accomplished, and the accomplishment of actions is suffering, and it is also suffering.
