The twentieth, one should understand as much as possible from other aspects. In order to thoroughly distinguish the Sutra Pitaka, one should begin with what is specifically taught in these four types of Sutra Pitaka. The mother of the Sutra Pitaka should be elucidated, that is, the treatises spoken, taught, praised, and extolled by the Tathagata. For example, letters without a mother are not clear, similarly, Sutras that are not fully encompassed by a mother are not obvious and unclear in meaning. Conversely, the meaning is clear, therefore it is called the mother. The general summary is: the collection of realms and instructions, and the various manifestations of consciousness transforming into manifest consciousness. The limbs of cause and abandonment, and the knowledge of both aspects, including the basis. There are no enemies and no faults, dwelling in small worries. The summary is: realms and well-spoken words precede, examination and the characteristics of children. Impermanence and so on are certain, and the order is shown in two ways. It is not permanent, not annihilation, and completely purifies afflictions from all aspects. These four are the realms that arise from the previous wrong inclinations of those who are to be tamed, and from being accustomed to views. What are the four? When obtaining the body and physical form in the previous state of existence, due to clinging to the view of permanence, hearing non-Dharma, and due to improper attention, therefore, with such a cause and condition, a wrong inclination arises, and the realm arises from being accustomed to views. Just as clinging to the view of permanence, so too are the view of annihilation, the view of passing into nirvana in this life, and the view of the aggregates of destruction applied in the same way. In this regard, the Bhagavan, with the power of knowing various inclinations and the power of knowing various realms, also examined the previous inclinations, and in order to tame the later realms, also entered into the four types of teachings as much as possible, in order to tame wrong inclinations. Alternatively, in order to fully mature the knowledge of those whose knowledge has not yet matured, and in order to liberate those whose knowledge has already matured from afflictions, the teachings are entered into. For those who possess the first wrong realm, in order to tame that wrong inclination realm, it is taught that when the cause ceases, actions cease, that is, actions

Impermanence is shown through the door of destruction. For those below who are associated with the two realms, it is said that actions arise because of the arising of causes, thus showing impermanence through the door of the arising of actions. For those below who are associated with the three realms, it is shown through the door of the suffering of actions. For those below who are associated with the four realms and who engage in the view of the perishable aggregate separately from actions, it is shown through the door of emptiness. For those who engage in the view of the perishable aggregate in the actions themselves, the teaching enters through the door of selflessness. The three unmixed branches show that this well-spoken Dharma-Vinaya is not shared with outsiders. It also goes into the category of being well-spoken. The three branches are: showing complete accomplishment, showing complete and ultimate liberation from all, showing the means to that, and realizing it individually through that. What is complete accomplishment and complete and ultimate liberation from all? Because of having activity and not having activity, there are three kinds of liberation: worldly, learner's, and non-learner's. Among these, the worldly is not complete accomplishment because of turning back. The learner's is not ultimate because of having activity, so it is not complete accomplishment. The remainder should be known as both. What is the means? Starting from how the actions are and how many there are, cultivating the perception of impermanence, and cultivating the perception of suffering in impermanence, and cultivating the perception of emptiness in suffering, and cultivating the perception of selflessness, relying on this, at the time of realizing the truth, in order to make the knowable manifest, one obtains the right view. Relying on that view, on the path of meditation, one abides in the place of the perception of incongruity with actions, and because of abiding, the feeling associated with that, the object is obscured, and the appearance of investigation arises in mindfulness, so there is no joy, and when one abides in wandering through the door of that no joy, then there is no special attachment to the object of that feeling, and if one is attached to the object for the sake of whose meaning, then that meaning itself is also absent, then there is manifest attachment behind.
