Abandon. One aspect of cessation is manifest. One aspect is not abandoned, and that which is not manifest is completely abandoned, and for the sake of manifestation, I should meditate on how to attain the path, thinking thus. By relying on meditating on the path after examining it separately in this way, the remaining abandonment and manifestation will be attained. Therefore, the ultimate attainment of such an ultimate attainment should also be known as fivefold. What are the five? The complete exhaustion of suffering and its causes is attained, having the power to benefit others, one's own benefit is completely perfect in every way, obtaining the wisdom of permanent abandonment and entering the city of Nirvana, and after entering there, it is also because of the abode of the noble ones that one abides even more so. Among these, the first is the cessation of the continuum of existence and so on, and it should be known as fourfold as before. The second is that the names such as Arhat, exhaustion of defilements, etc., should be known as before. The third is that because all conditioned things are abandoned, it becomes the permanent ultimate, because all afflictions are permanently abandoned, it becomes permanently stainless, and because the antidote path is attained, it becomes the permanent completion of pure conduct. The fourth is that, for example, in the world, one enters a city in five ways. If any one of them is not complete, it is not possible. Similarly, the city of Nirvana should also be known to be entered in five ways, that is, the city gate is also opened and the moat is also filled, it is not a cliff nor a deep abyss, it is possible to cross, and after crossing the moat, one also reaches the gate. To go to that city, one does not need to pray oneself, nor does one need to raise a banner and enter for the benefit of others. In this way, there is no obstacle for him to enter the city. Similarly, to enter the city of Nirvana, the door is opened by abandoning the five things that are similar to the final part, and because ignorance, which makes one afraid of Nirvana by thinking of it as a cliff, is abandoned, the moat is filled.

Reaching the other shore, and holding the last stage of the body, becomes the threshold for entering the realm of nirvana without remainder. Having abandoned the craving for existence, one will no longer be involved in the realms, nor will one have pride in the truths. Therefore, it should be understood that, just as before, through these five causes, one can enter the city of nirvana. Entering the city of nirvana is by means of two kinds of noble dwelling, namely, going and dwelling. Among them, going can also be understood in three ways: the uncommon, the non-afflicted, and dwelling in the correct place. Having abandoned the five pervasive connections that correspond to the final part, and having completely abandoned desire for the desires, and practicing precisely on those (abandoned desires), therefore it is uncommon. Because it is always fully possessed by the six abodes, therefore it is non-afflicted. After examining, completely abandoning certain things, such as elephants and untamed horses, etc. After examining, relying on certain things, such as clothes and food, etc., this is dwelling in the correct place. Therefore, dwelling in this way after going purely can be understood in five ways, namely, by what one dwells, where one dwells, what one is separated from, what one relies on, and what one is associated with. Among them, one dwells with an unshakeable mind of liberation. After examining, eliminating certain things, such as fatigue caused by the weariness of being distracted by going. After examining, accepting certain things, such as cold and heat, etc. Separated from the three afflictions, namely, the affliction of views, the affliction of existence, and the affliction of thoughts. Among them, being separated from the affliction of views, there will be no wavering of mind to be reborn again. Being separated from the affliction of craving, one will not be robbed by the realms. Being separated from the affliction of thoughts, when thinking, one will only think of virtue, and not non-virtue. This is the fourth dhyana.
