It is said to be the self, the aggregates are the self, the self is associated with the aggregates, the aggregates are mine, and I am in the aggregates. Saying 'I' is to completely afflict with two causes, namely manifest clinging and habitual tendencies. Among these, manifest clinging is like this: those non-Buddhists who desire liberation, in a way that is associated with the attainment of all afflictions. Among these, habitual tendencies are like this: these followers of the Dharma, due to complete clinging to objects, only temporarily interrupt, but not forever. The view of self and the view of no-self are both similar because they focus on the basis of the aggregates, so they should be understood as the same. Because of the wrong and right holding of that basis, it becomes afflicted and purified, so it should be understood as different. Among these, because of the wrong clinging to things in four ways, the view of self becomes afflicted, namely cause, nature, result, and similar cause. Among these, the cause is caused by two kinds of ignorance, namely ignorance of things and ignorance of views. Among these, due to ignorance of things preceded by hearing non-Dharma, the view of self will arise. Due to ignorance of that view, the accumulation of ignorance corresponding to that view, all feelings arising from contact are regarded as 'I'. Because of this reason, his body is also associated with craving, so he cannot abandon the view of self. Among these, the nature is that the view that completely holds these two bases will not be separated from the perspective of habitual tendencies. Among these, the result is that relying on the view of the perishable collection itself, he will not be separated from the arrogance of thinking 'I' from the perspective of habitual tendencies, and also, through the two kinds of habitual tendencies, the senses will manifestly accomplish in the future. They will also experience happiness and suffering. Relying solely on the clinging to these as self and mine, and with the mind's discrimination corresponding to inappropriate attention, self and mine experience
