Whatever belongs to that situation, it is through two ways of causelessness that causelessness is proclaimed, previously considering no-self, and later considering self, focusing on the saying that is solely determined as impermanent. These four situations are speculations on the prior extreme, some of whom consider permanence, and in their differences, some focus on proclaiming permanence and non-permanence. Some focus on proclaiming neither permanence nor impermanence. The transformation of having an end and not having an end is like this: regarding the situation of having an end and not having an end, it is as previously stated. Those who believe that everything arises from previously done causes, those people are proclaiming self-made. Those who believe that everything arises from the cause of being emanated by Ishvara, those people are proclaiming other-made. Some believe that it is emanated by Ishvara, and some do not believe so, those people are proclaiming both. Those who proclaim causelessness, those people are not proclaiming both, it should be known that it is the second decline caused by proclaiming their own awareness. These are speculations on the prior extreme, because they are speculations on the past and the time that is happening in the present. Among them, those Shramanas and Brahmins who seek opportunities, pay attention to benefits, pay attention to the benefits of overcoming attachments, and only want to proclaim their own awareness for the sake of gain and respect, those who have renounced in the wrongly preached Dharma-Vinaya, they must be desiring liberation and only desiring liberation. Those people are of a nature with fewer afflictions, foolish and behaving peacefully. Those people, by showing and following the key to entering the first Dhyana, do not acknowledge those who have transformed into views of the future extreme and the past extreme, but completely transcend, and in this life also completely transcend the bonds of desire, thereby touching the joy of extreme solitude. They have not heard and understood such completeness, therefore they consider that to be Nirvana. Regarding the joy of extreme solitude, just as it is.

Furthermore, the joy free from desire in the second and third dhyanas, the feeling of neither suffering nor pleasure in the fourth dhyana, and even up to the realm of no-thingness, are similar, because they are far from the feeling of neither suffering nor pleasure that is complete with various perceptions. This is the third kind of decline for those who have not retreated from the path of taking up all things, those who are subject to returning, who have not attained nirvana, and who are arrogant in thinking they have attained nirvana. It should be known as such. The Tathagata, having perfectly and completely awakened to Buddhahood with the supreme state of tranquility, truly knows all three kinds of declines in five aspects. What are the five? Namely, what is the nature, what is the view, by what ignorance does it arise, with what object does it proceed, and through the fault of that object, the coarseness and where it is certain to arise. Thus, truly knowing as it is, and in the place of certain arising, one will also certainly and constantly arise. The two kinds of knowledge are pure seeing and extremely pure seeing. That is, the knowledge of the law and the knowledge of nirvana that precedes it. Among them, the knowledge of the law is that which knows through the gate of distinguishing the self-characteristics of all actions, and also knows the common characteristics through the gate of faults. That is, all actions belonging to the three realms, those that are in accordance with pleasure, suffering, and neither suffering nor pleasure, are known by the principle of the three kinds of suffering. The knowledge of nirvana is that which, in such a way, perceives suffering in all actions, thinking thus: Thus, abandoning all actions of suffering, and so on, extensively connecting to nirvana. This is the knowledge of nirvana. Those two, pure seeing and extremely pure seeing, also become pure by practicing through two gates, namely, the individual.
