Possessing the ability to remember past abodes and possessing the divine eye. Among these, possessing the ability to remember past abodes refers to the ability to completely and purely recall the small, medium, and large extents, as well as the four conditions of having boundaries and being without boundaries, regarding the end of the eons of destruction and formation of the vessel world, in relation to those who adhere to permanence and contemplate the limits of the past. When correctly remembering the time of formation, one will surely remember the upper and lower realms through three kinds of consciousness, reaching down to the Avici Hell and up to the Fourth Dhyana, determining the limits of the world and its end, and becoming one with such awareness. Furthermore, some can correctly remember the aspect of limitlessness, becoming beings with boundless awareness. Those who possess both of these memories will abide in a state of having awareness of both worlds. Remembering the state of the world, one abides neither with the awareness of having boundaries nor with the awareness of being without boundaries, because one does not perceive any aspect of any vessel. Some, relying on meditation in a partial way, some considering it permanent, and some saying it is without cause, should be understood as non-distracted gods. These two are pure gods: those who are not extremely pure and those who are extremely pure. Among these, whatever worldly samadhi there is, those are gods who are not extremely pure, because they do not directly realize the truths and because their minds are not extremely liberated. Whatever samadhi there is in this Dharma, those are gods who are extremely pure, because they directly realize the truths and because their minds are extremely liberated. Non-distraction is of two kinds: with conceptualization and analysis, with signs, and without signs. One of these belongs to the gods who are not extremely pure, and the other belongs to the gods who are extremely pure. Among these, the former, the gods who are not extremely pure, are called non-distracted gods because they themselves are gods and abide in a state of non-distraction, because they

Those last ones, because they are not distracted, if asked questions, are all true, and because they are not skilled in the samadhi of the mind without characteristics, they spread rumors from one place to another. Those people have long manifested mind with mind, and although I am an undistracted god, what other undistracted gods besides us are true? And there are also those who are particularly skilled in the formless. If those people ask us questions from that time on, then we will answer, or give wrong answers, or slander existing things, or admit to something that does not exist. Thinking of these things, seeing those faults in answering, they think that they will not answer at all times and places, but they also see that there is fault in that. Others will think that we are just ignorant, and therefore will become lower than the undistracted gods, and those people will deceive, and think like this: Our answer should be like this, the great secret of us pure gods is that it cannot be shown by spreading rumors through one's own realization or through the pure path, it would be good to answer like that. After those people think like that, they examine separately, and spread rumors with words. The minds of those who abide in wrong pervasive thoughts like that should be pervaded by the minds of the pure supreme gods, to be fully understood. Those people think that it would be bad if we were considered low, so most of the time they do not refute, but that does not completely liberate, and they also abide in that state. Some people are foolish, because they only practice calm abiding briefly, so they cannot use deceptive means to spread rumors, they think like this: they should fully admit what he said like that, and say the same thing. Those are established as four different situations according to the difference of thinking. Among them, from the point of view of time, the thoughts that arise depending on the past and present time, those are the thoughts on the former limit. The thoughts that arise depending on the future time, those are the thoughts on the latter limit. Among them,
