Accomplishment and the complete union of birth, these two, when these are gathered into one, should be understood as six. According to the order, the benefits of the fruit will be established as two, four, and seven. Meditating on the mindfulness of inhaling and exhaling is these two, namely, the one above and the one without above. Among them, how is the one above? For example, some people dwell alone in a secluded place, abiding with equanimity, and truly see the life force's breath moving and connecting externally and internally. If I inhale and do not exhale, or if I exhale and do not inhale, then my life will surely end, they think. Furthermore, regarding the impermanent phenomena, when inhalation ceases, as long as exhalation arises, the life force remains; and when exhalation ceases, as long as inhalation arises, it remains, this is truly wondrous, they think. Through that object of focus, the mind becomes completely weary, and purifies the subsequent attachment and anger in the three times, this is the one above. The sixteen aspects should be understood as the one without above. Wind is called abiding in minute parts because it focuses on minute parts, it is the abiding of mindfulness of inhaling and exhaling. Because it is interrupted by investigation and analysis, it is not knowing satisfaction. Because the body and mind are extremely tamed and practiced with great effort, it is not something to be weary of. The body that meditates on mindfulness of inhaling and exhaling does not become weary, because it eliminates the afflictions close to the aspect of tranquility. The eyes also do not become weary, because they eliminate the afflictions close to the aspect of insight. Seeing happiness even in Nirvana is observing in accordance with happiness. Experiencing the happiness of the third dhyana ground is experiencing happiness. Because it does not abide in a completely afflicted state, there is no complete doubt. Happiness abides in this. Here, some people think like this: The Tathagata, from the gate of liberation, among all the Arhats liberated by wisdom, is the last and without distinction.

If the liberation of the deceased and the Arhat of wisdom liberation are no different, then, like this, the Tathagata's unobstructed abiding and among all the initial practitioners, the one who finally becomes an individual scholar, not by the power of diligence, having abandoned the five obscurations and abiding, is called unobstructed abiding, then, is unobstructed abiding and unobstructed abiding no different like liberation? Or is it thought that there is a difference, this exists. These two unobstructed abidings should be recognized as very different, the scholar is through the way of universal conduct, the mind is unobstructed and the same as the Tathagata, but because the habitual tendencies have not been abandoned, the mind stream will be contaminated by obscurations again and again, and it needs to be abandoned again and again. The Tathagata is very different because he has forever abandoned the obscurations, which is different from being no different from liberation. The yogi relies on breathing and the memory of the elements, when practicing the four mindfulnesses, relying on proper attention, for those who have not abandoned the inner improper attention, they can also truly know the improper attention as it is. After knowing that improper attention is improper, abandoning improper attention, in order to abandon it, one exclusively determines to practice proper attention. In this regard, like a crossroads of roads, are the four dharmas such as the body. Like a pile of dust, is improper attention, because it is unstable, without essence, and bewildering to the mind. Like a load, a mount, a vehicle, a common vehicle coming from the east, south, west, and north directions, is proper attention, that is, in the way of taking the four such as the body as the object. For example, in order to destroy the improper attention like a pile of dust, and in order to make the continuum completely pure in all of everything, one enters. Breathing

And diligently recollecting the causes of arising, cultivating the four mindfulnesses, namely, with the body as the cause, properly attending to the holding of the body, with the equality of selflessness being extremely equal. Just as the body is selfless, so is the attention to it the same. Therefore, it is called the same as the body. Cultivating mindfulness of the body, there is nothing to focus on. Thus, the four mindfulnesses of the body should be understood to increase as they are, until the mindfulness of the Dharma is also the same. Thus, the mindfulnesses taught by the Buddhas are not possessed by external heretics. Therefore, overpowering all heretics, it is called mindfulness. In summary: Upholding the precepts, the precepts are complete. The benefits of the higher practice learning, and, the various distinctions of learning, the abode of Dharma is not inferior. The establishment of the three learnings of higher discipline, higher mind, and higher wisdom is explained in detail as follows, and should be understood as it is stated in the Hearer's Ground. In these learnings, in brief, it should be known that there are wrong and right grasps. Among them, the wrong grasp is how in this place, although some have gone forth, they are not diligent in discipline, nor have they gone forth solely with discipline as the main focus, and so, like discipline, Samadhi and wisdom should also be understood in the same way. In this, as the Bhagavan said, for those who have no share, there is the opportunity to generate all remaining faults. Therefore, it should be known that this is the only wrong grasp of the three learnings. The right grasp has three aspects, namely small, medium, and large. Among them, the first is the opposite of the former, how in this place, some are diligent in discipline and focus on discipline, but are not diligent in Samadhi and wisdom, nor do they focus on them, and in this, although there is no opportunity to practice all remaining faults, as the Bhagavan said, for those who are to obtain the fruit of a Shramana, there is no share.
