It will change. Moreover, sentient beings' individual powers of discernment and the power of cultivation should be understood as completely purifying all aspects. If one does not apply proper attention to the four objects of focus, such as the body, then the four close placements of mindfulness will not be cultivated. If one does not cultivate these, then proper attention, which follows the reasoning of the noble ones, including the arising of the noble path such as right view, will also not be cultivated. Because it is not cultivated, the noble path is also not cultivated. Because it is not cultivated, its result, the nectar of nirvana, is also not cultivated. The yogi, having understood that the body and so forth arise dependent on causes, abides by seeing impermanence in all phenomena such as the body in the three times. By abiding by seeing impermanence, or in the realm of existence, also relying on the existence of existence, not abiding, and even in this life, not grasping even slightly to all internal and external formations as self or belonging to self. Regarding this, it should be understood that for those in the future, one sees them as having the nature of arising. For those in the past, one sees them as having the nature of disintegration. For those arising in the present, because they have the nature of arising and disintegration thereafter, one abides by seeing them as having the nature of arising and disintegration. Initially, only by truly seeing the dependent arising of phenomena such as the body, one enters into impermanence. Having entered into impermanence, the mind is completely purified from all afflictions of craving and views. Abiding mostly in this, this is the perfection of proper attention, and relying on it, the exhaustion of outflows will be attained. In brief, phenomena are good and non-good, and those that are in accordance with the aspects of complete affliction and purification. Among these, whatever is in accordance with the aspect of complete affliction arises from improper attention. Those that are in accordance with the aspect of purification arise from proper attention, and these combined are called arising from attention. The sutra and extensive explanation of cultivating close placement of mindfulness are

For example, it should be understood that the Hearer Vehicle arises from karma. The beginning of cultivating the four mindfulnesses is not only that the Blessed One has now appeared and teaches, and that his Hearer disciples are also cultivating them; the cultivation of the four mindfulnesses has existed from beginningless time in the past, and will have no end in the future, it should be understood. The four mindfulnesses are called the collections of virtue because they are the place of origin for limitless worldly and transworldly dharmas in the past, future, and present. The five obscurations are called the collections of non-virtue because they obstruct that collection of virtue. Because the distinctions of the four dharmas, such as the body, are limitless, and because the Tathagata's wisdom is unobstructed with respect to those objects, the dharma taught by the Tathagatas is immeasurable. This can also be distinguished by way of two aspects: words and meanings. Among these, the distinction of meaning is that, in order to purely explain the meaning itself, the words and letters of the dharma are immeasurable. Because these words and letters are without repetition, their increase from higher to higher is immeasurable. Therefore, the dharma taught by the Tathagata is endowed with wondrous and amazing qualities, because even for a single meaning, it is correctly explained by immeasurable words and letters without repetition. Through the wisdom that understands the meaning of the teachings, one is therefore endowed with understanding. Through the gate of wisdom of nature, hearing, and thought, one is therefore endowed with intelligence. Because of abiding in equipoise, one is endowed with mindfulness. Because of comprehending the truth, one is endowed with wisdom. The first is the teaching, and the latter three should be understood as explanation. Because a monk previously, through appropriate attention arising from hearing and thought, regards the body, etc., as merely the body, etc., this is mindfulness. Recognizing that all dharmas are selfless, and therefore not being satisfied with merely hearing and thinking, the mind abides in equipoise, thinking, 'Through meditation, liberation can be attained.' In order to enter meditation, dwelling in a solitary place, and focusing solely on the body, etc., in that way, the nine ways of mind-abiding will completely transform into inner peace.
