The end of meditation lies in that realm of birth. For the undefiled path, just like the samadhi of consciousness, there are higher and non-higher states. Among them, the higher state is associated with the aspect of impermanence. The non-higher state is associated with the aspect of selflessness. Among them, with the aspect corresponding to the higher state, one destroys the lower ground and enters into its realm of birth. With the aspect corresponding to the non-higher state, one contemplates selflessness on the lower, higher, itself, and all phenomena, thereby entering into the undefiled realm of nothingness. It should be known that this aspect corresponding to the non-higher state is the second path. This second path is also divided into two types, and should be established as two types. What are the two? They are the dependent and the difference of the knowable of the dependent. Among them, the knowledge of selflessness that depends, for any sentient being realm, and for any self, there is no such thing as my place, such and such sentient being, father, mother, friend, master, and so on. Just as there is no such thing as my place, my thing, so too, I am not their place, their thing. The knowledge of selflessness of the dependent is that permanence, self, and what is mine make the world empty. There is no permanence, self, or what is mine in this, only dharma. If the world is empty, then where is who, what, where? Therefore, the former knowledge should be seen as the dependent, and the latter as the place of dependence. For the realm of neither perception nor non-perception, there is no undefiled path. Therefore, destroying the consciousness of the realm of nothingness, one enters into its realm of birth. For it, there is only that one path. Among them, the so-called "do not become me" is the suffering of suffering of birth and so on. The so-called "do not become mine either" is the suffering of birth and so on. Generate such aspiration and strive. If one strives truthfully, one will know the difference between before and after, and will surely be able to obtain, that is, one will not become me, nor will one become mine. That is what one thinks. Therefore, the present.

Whatever new actions have been done and accumulated in this life, and whatever old actions have occurred, one does not wish for the maturation of all of those, because one does not look at them, therefore one abandons all. In summary: establishment and ultimate, unmixed and proper, dependent arising and meditation, time and interruption, showing nature and for the sake of abandonment, composition and meditation are not the last. Among these, establishment refers to the sutras and extensive explanations of the thirty-seven dharmas that are in accordance with the aspects of enlightenment, from the mindfulnesses and so forth to the limbs of the path, and should be understood as it appears in the Hearer's Ground. All bases of knowledge should be understood as the four mindfulnesses being ultimate. By the ultimate of the bases of knowledge, the bases of knowledge should be understood as ultimate. Applying aspiration and diligence and so forth to meditation should be understood as being for the purpose of accomplishing the four mindfulnesses. Apart from the four mindfulnesses, there is no path that is different from them, or any object of focus that, when relied upon, will cause defilements to be exhausted and nirvana to be attained, and because there is no other pure path, this path is unparalleled, therefore, this path is called the one vehicle. That one vehicle also purifies beings by means of two causes: the power of individual investigation and the power of meditation. What is called sorrow is the unpleasantness of a mind afflicted by afflictions. What is called heat is that which belongs to excitement, the unpleasantness of a mind afflicted by afflictions that engages in desire. The place of sorrow is the four worldly dharmas. The place of heat is those other four themselves. Therein, striving in the four mindfulnesses, by relying on the power of individual investigation, one will become completely liberated from sorrow and heat. By the power of worldly meditation, having attained separation from desire for desire, one will abandon suffering and unpleasantness. By the power of transcendental meditation, having completely passed beyond all aggregates, one will realize the eightfold noble path and the fruit of the path, as well as wisdom and dharma.
