For non-form dharmas as well, one realizes with wisdom that they are dependently originated, just as they are. Having entered, in the path of cultivation, from the past, future, and present faculties and objects, aversion arises, and one transforms until liberation, truly knowing, "I am liberated." These are the meritorious dharmas of mindfulness meditation belonging to the body in the Accomplished Ground, which arise, namely, perceiving the body of form, and similarly, non-form dharmas, as being like grass, trees, and earth, and by truly understanding dependent origination, knowing the four noble truths, and aversion to the path of cultivation, detachment, liberation, and seeing the wisdom of liberation. Only in this way, with wisdom, one has not done much benefit to the teachings that show everything of everything. Why is that? Because its own meaning is complete, there is no need to make any effort in it, and the effort made cannot be further distinguished later, because the effort made will be completely exhausted when it is not accomplished, so it should not be said that it is not done, or, even if it has been done, it is not ultimately done, just as ordinary beings are liberated by the path of non-Buddhists. Therefore, the virtuous dharmas of the previous purification ground are all contaminated, and the virtuous dharmas of the accomplished ground are uncontaminated, and it should be known that these are all included in the four noble truths as appropriate. The Basic Section from the Yogācārabhūmi, Volume Sixteen. The causes of the one hundred and eight modes of existence, which are included in the truth of origination, should be understood as four, namely: the distinction between internal and external, the distinction of support, the distinction of nature, and the distinction of time. What is the distinction between internal and external? That is, the six internal sense bases, or the external

Depending on the six sources, one engages in various ways with craving that includes a basis. What are the various distinctions of the basis? They are the five types of "I am" pride. For example, because one relies on the internal and has not abandoned the "I am" pride, one engages in the six sources with the thought "I am" in this way. As long as one is not overcome by joy, the stream of one's actions also enters similarly, and one thinks, "I am like this, just as before." Later, overcome by joy, sometimes one becomes radiant, and sometimes one becomes ugly. Sometimes one becomes powerful, and sometimes one becomes happy and proud, while sometimes one becomes without pride. When one goes from being radiant to being proud, one thinks, "I am good!" Conversely, one thinks, "I am bad!" When overcome by old age, one thinks, "I have become different!" What are the various distinctions of nature? They are that, relying on those five types of "I am" pride, there is craving for arising and attachment to destruction. The craving for arising also occurs in small, medium, and large forms. As for destruction, one craves after examining it separately, but it is not truly established from the depths of one's heart. Therefore, there is no establishing three aspects for it. Among these, the thought that "I will arise in the future" is a small craving for arising. The thought that "I will transform into the six sources themselves," and through wanting to manifest a similar birth, the thought that "I will become like this," and through not wanting to manifest a dissimilar birth, the thought that "I will become other." If one desires the previous body and has done only virtuous deeds that are similar and corresponding to it, then one thinks, "I will become like this, like the present appearance." If one does not want to manifest and has done some virtuous deeds that are dissimilar to it, then one thinks, "I will become other." Not wanting destruction, and as a remedy for it, may I arise.

The middling craving is: wishing the six sense sources to become mine, like before, wishing I would become like this, wishing I would become like that, all of these should be understood as middling craving. Wishing to become mine through these means, the four kinds of craving that are completely possessed by intense desire, should be understood as great. The differentiation of the nature of those five existences, relying on the internal support and what is born with it, is called the eighteen aspects of craving. Regarding the external difference, just as the thought "this is me" arises towards the internal six sense sources, forms etc. are mine, I have sovereignty over forms etc. Similarly, clinging to having sovereignty over dharmas etc. The rest should also be understood as before, as appropriate. Adding these eighteen to the previous aspects, it becomes thirty-six. What is it that is differentiated by time? It is those thirty-six aspects themselves, from the perspective of past, future, and present time, like this: from the four differentiations, the aspects become one hundred and eight. In general, any affliction related to desire is existence, it is included in the truth of origination, so it is a cause. Because the nature of attachment causes the continuum of samsara to turn in one direction, it is a river. Because it is the nature of manifest attachment to objects, it is manifest attachment. The five aggregates are accomplished, diseases etc. become the basis of suffering like a fruit, so it is the root of fruit. Because the basis is difficult to overcome, it is flowing. Because the bonds of Mara run in small parts, it is a net. Because it rises upwards from below the peak of existence, it is a vine. Because it cannot be satisfied, it is thirst. Craving with such characteristics, completely entangles beings, so it is covering. From the perspective of latent tendencies, it is obscuration. From the perspective of complete entanglement and latent tendencies, it is rising upwards. From the perspective of small and medium, it is completely rising. Because desire-craving makes what is to be known ignorant, it is covering. Because form-craving makes
