Having been completely defiled by afflictions, one will abide in suffering and unease, and the virtuous qualities that have not been attained will be lost, and those that have been attained will also be completely diminished. Therefore, one will completely lose the great meaning of nirvana, as well as the opportunity to go to happy realms and be associated with them. Conversely, it should be recognized that initiating diligence has twofold benefits. Because of initiating diligence, the virtuous qualities that have been attained and not attained will not be lost, thus one will be able to accomplish the benefit of oneself, the benefit of others, and the benefit of both. Among these, the benefit of oneself is a superior result achieved through two ways: one is the arising of the bliss of attaining nirvana free from afflictions, and the other is the maturation of the bliss of going to happy realms. The benefit of others is to teach the Dharma to others, starting from nirvana and going to happy realms. The benefit of both is that one's own self is purified as a worthy recipient, and one enjoys the clothes and other items offered by the faithful. Through this enjoyment, one can also help them to turn towards virtue, and through the actions they perform, they will be able to go to happy realms in the future, thereby obtaining great rewards. Through the perfection of wealth and retinue, one obtains great benefits. Through the perfection of the body, such as longevity, complexion, strength, happiness, and confidence, one obtains great majesty. Through possessing these three states for a long time, one obtains great increase. It should be recognized that the Blessed One's teachings are well-spoken through four ways: because it enables one to attain the realm of nirvana with remainder, it is that which leads to pacification; because it enables one to attain the realm of nirvana without remainder, it is that which completely liberates one from suffering; because it enables one to attain the enlightenment of a Hearer, a Solitary Buddha, and unsurpassed perfect and complete enlightenment, it is that which leads to perfect enlightenment; because it is truly taught by a teacher who is ultimate, thorough, and personally experienced, it is the Sugata.

This is the spoken ground. These four perfections are what cause birth in a noble place. This refers to those who possess these conditions, and it is worthy of praise to diligently practice the well-spoken Vinaya, it should be known. What are the four? They are superior intention perfection, faculty perfection, wisdom perfection, and the noble place, which, if Buddhas appear, can be attained, this is also perfection. Among them, what is superior intention perfection like? For example, some people, having purified their superior intention for liberation from suffering, renounce, not because they are tormented by debt, not because they are tormented by fear, and so on, to be explained extensively. Such renunciation is a good renunciation, and it should be known as being born in a noble place. Among them, what is faculty perfection like? For example, some people are not lacking eyes, not lacking ears, are not eunuchs, are not lacking limbs, and there is no lack of faculties, therefore they can obtain renunciation in the well-spoken Vinaya, and when teaching the Dharma, they can also listen, and so on. Among them, what is wisdom perfection like? For example, some people are not deluded by small obscurations, so they are not fools; not deluded by medium obscurations, so they are not dull like sheep; not deluded by great obscurations, so they are not sign language users. Because they are free from the three types of obscurations of wisdom, they can understand the meaning of well-spoken and wrongly spoken teachings. Among them, if Buddhas appear, one can obtain the noble place, this is perfection, what is it like? For example, the Bhagavan Tathagata Shakyamuni Buddha now appears in the world, to be explained extensively, just as it is explained extensively from the summary of terms, it should be known. He also teaches the Dharma, and as before, leads to peace, and so on, to be explained extensively. Therefore, having been born in a noble place, it is a good arrival, it is a good renunciation. Not lacking faculties, not being a fool, not being dull like a sheep, not being a sign language user, therefore obtaining a human birth is a good attainment.
