Having latent views is only of one kind. If it is not abandoned, even if one has reached the peak of existence, one is separated from it through the lower path of worldly existence, but it should be recognized as still possessing it. It is difficult for beings who are separated to recognize that they possess it. Only those who are skilled in dependent origination can understand this. What is it that is difficult for beings who possess to recognize that they are separated? In this regard, a noble disciple who possesses learning, that is, possesses the collection of wisdom, if he possesses feelings arising from contact, then in this life he will not fixate on self, nor will he cling, nor will he change in that way. Even after separating from the body, he will not fixate on self, nor will he cling. Having bound all beings to the seven abodes of consciousness, the birthplace of consciousness that connects the continuum downwards, and the birthplace of consciousness that will arise again, and those abodes of consciousness, if one examines those two birthplaces in accordance with the truth of dependent origination. An Arhat who is liberated by wisdom, or one who is liberated from both parts, will become a meditator on the eight liberations. Although birth, aging, and death appear in this life, that is actually separate from them. Although feelings appear to be experienced, that is actually separate from feelings. Although consciousness, name, and form appear, that is actually separate from them. It is difficult for beings who possess to recognize that they are separated, and only those who are skilled in dependent origination can truly understand. Through these four ways, one should recognize that dependent origination is extremely profound. Summary: Differentiate between distinctions, conventional truth, ultimate truth, and the nature of phenomena, the agent, and great emptiness. What has been done by whom is not the last. In this Vinaya, both children and wise people, from the beginning to the middle, from the afflictions, accomplish the body with consciousness. Because of that body, one experiences the three kinds of feelings of the external beings and non-beings, which are encompassed by name and form, however The wise one is...

It should be known that there are significant differences from the perspective of the past, present, and future. Among these, the difference pertaining to the middle is that the root afflictions that cause the formation of the body, both of these will be abandoned in this life, and because these two are abandoned, there will be no further grasping of a body in the future. This is the difference pertaining to the future. Why do the wise attain the state of the wise? Because at that time they have become separated from the truth of origination in this life, and in the future, they will also be separated from the truth of suffering. Why do children remain children? Because they are unable to abandon these two. The wise have sought and practiced pure conduct, gathered by the accumulation of wisdom in the past, while children have not practiced it. Therefore, it should be known that the difference between the wise and children belongs to the category of the past. Here, the noble hearers who are skilled in dependent origination and possess learning thoroughly understand conventional and ultimate truth as they are. Because of thoroughly understanding, in this life, they know that the body, along with consciousness, and all phenomena are without self, and they do not cling to the notion of "This is mine" or "This is me." For example, those skilled in ultimate truth, because they do not cling to false notions, thoroughly understand the actions included as the cause of beings' actions, as they truly are, knowing that it is not made by another, and that without making effort, there will be no well-being, and therefore they strive to be free from afflictions. For example, those skilled in conventional truth completely abandon the false imputation of what is not true and the squandering of existent things. Previously, having fabricated through obscured thought, and having made the desire of longing through aspiration, at this time, for this body together with consciousness, through cultivating calm abiding and insight, based on the wisdom of dependent origination arising from hearing and thinking, following after that, they will realize that the aggregates of consciousness, contact, feeling, perception, and mind are all suffering. This is the distinction of the aggregates of craving.
