Wisdom is attained by abandoning certain things. What are the six faults? They are the fault of the cause of sorrow, the fault of not fully understanding intimacy, the fault of conduct arising in two ways, the fault of the cause of destruction arising in three ways, the fault of the omen of death arising in two ways, and the fault of the body being unfit for use. Among them, the action of speech, at the time of making each other happy, is understood by abandoning five faults. What are the five faults? They are the fault of shrinking back in fear, the fault of harsh speech, the fault of abandoning the Buddha's teachings and speaking irrelevant words, the fault of not praising the Tathagata, and the fault of not offering advice that is in accordance with the Dharma. The action of the body, at the time of communicating all knowledge, is understood by abandoning five faults. What are the five faults? They are the fault of forgetfulness regarding what should be understood, the fault of contradicting oneself, the fault of contradicting reason, the fault of being angry with the deities who have faith in the teachings, and the fault of being angry with the Tathagata. The action of the mind is understood by abandoning five faults. That is, there are four arising from the meaning of this life, and one arising from the meaning of the next life, making a total of five faults. What are the five faults? They are the fault of intolerance, arising from being unable to tolerate the harm that is happening now and that has happened in the past; the fault of concealing sins due to the pain of concealment and regret; the fault of desire, arising from seeking the enjoyment of desires and wanting to avenge hatred; the fault of forgetfulness, arising from being confused in mind by completely holding onto and abandoning wrong views; and the fault of aspiration, which is to despise oneself, to abandon the aspiration for the vast Buddha-fields where the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas reside, and to accomplish the Buddha's teachings with a narrow mind, thereby despising the perfect qualities that transcend all worldly dharmas, and to abandon the aspiration for them. The benefits of having faith in the instructions of the Bodhisattva Pitaka are immeasurable and countless, and therefore these should be further distinguished and explained, and the benefits of having faith in the distinctions are great.

It should be understood that there are countless immeasurable quantities. The determination of the aspect of the Bodhisattva ground is complete. The remaining texts of the determination are not apparent. The summary of the determination of the aspect of the ground with and without aggregates is: Separation and the activity of life, change and dwelling and difference, existence and permanence and bliss, difference, other-dependence is action. Abiding in the realm of Nirvana with the remainder of aggregates, should it be said to be free from all defilements, or should it be said to be not free? It is said: It should be said to be free. Should it be said to be free from all suffering, or should it be said to be not free? It is said: It should be said to be both free and not free. It should be said to be free from the suffering of future births that will occur. It should also be said to be free from the suffering arising from the mind in the present life. It should be said to be not free from the suffering of hunger and the suffering of thirst, and the suffering arising from imbalance of elements, the suffering arising from seasonal changes, and the suffering arising from harm. That is also from universal arising, but not from connection with defilements. If all Arhats have attained mastery over the mind, why do they abandon the activity of life and not completely enter Nirvana, but remain oppressed by suffering? It is said: Because of the difference in ability. Thus, some Arhats are able to abandon the activity of life, while others are not; some are able to prolong the activity of life, while others are not. If the six sense bases of the Arhat do not cease as they arise and appear, and have not changed into something else, then, since there is no change in the six sense bases, what is the change of dwelling from that other than that? If there is no other change of dwelling from that, then the dwelling is the same before and after, why do defilements cease and the path enter there? It is said: There is a change of dwelling of the Arhat, but it should not be said that it is other than or not other than the six sense bases. Why is that? Like this, the change of dwelling
