If asked, how does transformation occur? The answer is: The transformation of an Arhat's state does not arise from the cause of the six sense bases, but from the cause of cultivating the path focused on Suchness. Therefore, whether the six sense bases exist or not, for the transformation of the state, there is not even a temporary other transformation, so how could there be a possibility of decay? That realm is to be fully understood and abandoned, therefore it is not to be negated. In the realm of Nirvana without remainder, should it be said that there is a transformation of state for those who have fully attained Nirvana, or should it be said that there is not? The answer is: It should be said that there is. How should its nature be described? The answer is: It is the nature of non-proliferation and the nature of the Dharma realm being extremely pure. Why should it be said that there is? The answer is: Because in the realm of Nirvana with remainder and Nirvana without remainder, the Dharma nature of the transformation of state is not disturbed. Relying on the undisturbed Dharma nature, it is also not reasonable to say that it previously existed and later did not. Although that Dharma is not produced, born, or accomplished, it has become clear like water, has become good like gold, and has become free from clouds and defilements like the sky, therefore it should be said that it exists. Should it be said to be permanent, or should it be said to be impermanent? The answer is: It should be said to be permanent. Why is that? The answer is: Because it is completely separated by the purity of Suchness, and because it is unproduced, unborn, and irreversible. Should it be said to be happiness, or should it be said to be not happiness? The answer is: It should be said to be the happiness of ultimate truth, but not the happiness of feeling. Why is that? Because it has completely passed beyond all afflictions and all the suffering arising from them. In the realm of Nirvana without remainder, is there any difference, thought, or distinction for those who have fully attained Nirvana? The answer is: No, because this is originally

I do not have any establishment of inferiority, mediocrity, or particular excellence in it. There is no high or low, and no good or bad. Why is there no distinction between a Hearer and a Thus-Gone One? If so, a Hearer completely passes into nirvana in the realm of nirvana without remainder of aggregates while still possessing obscurations, and a Thus-Gone One is without obscurations in all of everything. Answer: For those abiding in the realm of nirvana with remainder of aggregates, there is an establishment of possessing obscurations and not possessing obscurations. For those abiding in the realm of nirvana without remainder of aggregates, there is no establishment of obscurations. Why is that? Because all characteristics and all bad migrations are completely cut off and ceased in all of everything. For example, an Arhat abiding in the realm of nirvana with remainder of aggregates, all of all characteristics have not ceased, and the obscurations of maturation and bad migrations have not ceased, that is called the habitual tendencies of his afflictions. Relying on characteristics and bad migrations, obscurations are established, but for the one without remainder, there is none. Therefore, it should be understood that for it, there is only non-obscuration. If there is no obscuration for it, then, just as there is no obscuration for the Thus-Gone One, is there also no obscuration for the Arhat? Why does the Arhat not perform the deeds of the Thus-Gone One? Answer: Because there was no cultivation of aspirational bodhicitta in the past, and because it is of such a lineage, therefore the Arhat only completely passes into nirvana without the thought of arising, so he does not do it. Is the uncontaminated realm that completely passes into nirvana in the realm of nirvana without remainder of aggregates spoken of as other than form, or is it spoken of as not other than form? Answer: It is spoken of as neither other nor not other. Just as with form, it should be understood in the same way with feelings and so forth, and all formations, and all realms, and all beings. In the realm of nirvana without remainder of aggregates

After complete Nirvana, should it be said that one has obtained mastery over form, etc.? Or should it be said that one has not obtained mastery? Answer: It should be said that one has obtained mastery. Having obtained mastery, should it be said that it manifests? Or should it be said that it does not manifest? Answer: Some manifest, and some do not manifest. Having become a Tathagata, those who have attained Nirvana in the realm of Nirvana without remainder of aggregates are manifest. Others do not manifest. When the realm without elaboration is not counted in any number, how does it manifest? Answer: Due to the previous correct aspiration and the cultivation of such a path. For example, one who enters into cessation samadhi should rise from entering into samadhi. Even if there is no thought of rising, due to the previous manifestation of action, one rises and engages in actions with mind, similarly, this should also be viewed in the same way. Do Sravakas completely transform into Bodhi? Do they abide in the realm of Nirvana without remainder of aggregates and realize unsurpassed perfect complete enlightenment? Or do they abide in the realm of Nirvana with remainder of aggregates and do so? Answer: They abide in the realm of Nirvana with remainder of aggregates and do so. Because abiding in the realm of Nirvana without remainder of aggregates is devoid of all actions, and all efforts are cut off. If one abides in the realm of Nirvana with remainder of aggregates and realizes unsurpassed perfect complete enlightenment, then how can one realize unsurpassed perfect complete enlightenment in one lifetime? For an Arhat, there is not even one lifetime, let alone a continuation of lives? Answer: By prolonging the activities of life, one realizes it. The Blessed One also mostly considered the transformation of Sravakas into Bodhi, sons of lineage, possessing the nature of jewels, are the feet of miraculous power...
