Moreover, those dharmas do not completely seek the advantage of knowledge over others, do not cling to those dharmas by viewing them, do not generate doubt and hesitation as to whether these dharmas will definitely lead to Bodhi, do not praise oneself, do not belittle and despise others, do not become arrogant, do not become heedless, do not consider a little and insignificant amount as sufficient, and those dharmas are without stinginess and do not envy others. The purity of going to the other shore is different from each other, and it should also be known that there are only seven types. What are the seven differences? For example, giving is purified by the purity of the object to be given, giving is purified, discipline is purified, view is purified, mind is purified, speech is purified, wisdom is purified, and giving is purified by immaculate purity. Whatever I have taught, the Bodhisattva truly accepts and abides by, that is the seven types of giving purity. For example, the Bodhisattva is proficient in all training grounds with vows, proficient in recovering from downfall, possessing the determined discipline of those, possessing firm discipline, constantly practicing, constantly entering, truly accepting the training grounds, and engaging in learning, that is the seven types of discipline purity. For example, from all harm, when all harm is near, relying on the ripening of one's own karma without being disturbed, not retaliating with scolding, insulting, beating, threatening, and inflicting harm that mutilates limbs for the sake of retaliation, not harboring thoughts of revenge, not being completely afflicted when struck with a staff, not dwelling on the staff strike, not enduring with fear and a confused mind, not abandoning those who should be benefited, that is the seven types of patience purity. For example, the equality of diligence is completely known, diligence

Beginning with diligence, not praising oneself and disparaging others, possessing ability, possessing diligence, possessing joy, being steadfast and unwavering, not abandoning virtuous dharmas, these are the sevenfold purity of diligence. For example: meditating on the samadhi that skillfully understands signs, meditating on the perfect samadhi, meditating on the samadhi of both parts, meditating on the samadhi that arises forcefully, meditating on the non-abiding samadhi, meditating on the samadhi that is extremely tamed, cultivating immeasurable samadhi with the object of the complete Bodhisattva Pitaka, this is the seventh purity of meditation. For example: with that wisdom, completely abandoning the extremes of superimposition and denigration, definitely arising through the Middle Way, with wisdom, truly knowing the three doors of liberation—emptiness, wishlessness, signlessness—truly knowing the meaning of the three natures—the completely imputed nature, the dependent nature, the thoroughly established nature—truly knowing the meaning of the three selflessnesses—the selflessness of characteristics, the selflessness of origination, the ultimate selflessness—truly knowing the meaning of the conventional truth of the five sciences, truly knowing the meaning of the ultimate truth of the seven suchnesses, without discrimination and without elaboration, abiding in this in one way, mingled with immeasurable dharmas, with the insight of no object, truly accomplishing the dharma that accords with the Dharma, one should know that this is the sevenfold purity of wisdom. Blessed One, what are the respective actions of these five aspects? One should also know that the actions of those Avalokiteśvaras are fivefold, with non-attachment itself being enlightenment.
