Place, Dharma Victor, therefore, in this way, you should also recognize that the characteristic that completely transcends all speculation is the ultimate truth. Dharma Victor, furthermore, I have said that the ultimate truth is inexpressible, while speculation is the realm of expression. Dharma Victor, therefore, in this way, you should also recognize that the characteristic that completely transcends all speculation is the ultimate truth. Dharma Victor, furthermore, I have said that the ultimate truth is the complete cessation of all terms, while speculation is the realm of terms. Dharma Victor, therefore, in this way, you should also recognize that the characteristic that completely transcends all speculation is the ultimate truth. Dharma Victor, furthermore, I have said that the ultimate truth is the complete cessation of all disputes, while speculation is the realm of disputes. Dharma Victor, therefore, in this way, you should also recognize that the characteristic that completely transcends all speculation is the ultimate truth. Dharma Victor, it is like this: for example, if a person relies on the taste of heat and cold for as long as they live, they will not be able to examine, speculate, or believe in the taste of beeswax or the taste of sugar cane. If one has been devoted to desire and lust for a long time, and is completely tormented by the complete torment of desire, then one will not be able to examine, speculate, or believe in the bliss of inner complete solitude, which is separate from all characteristics of form, sound, smell, taste, and touch. If one has been devoted to universal speech for a long time and is very happy with universal speech, then one will not be able to examine, speculate, or believe in the inner non-speech, the truth of the noble ones. If one has been devoted to the terms of seeing, hearing, distinguishing, and knowing for a long time, and is very happy with terms, then one will not be able to examine, speculate, or believe in the complete cessation of all terms, the nirvana that is the cessation of the assembly of destruction. Dharma Victor, it is like this: for example, if one has been striving for dispute for a long time due to completely clinging to self, and is very happy with dispute, then

Unpleasant sounds cannot be fully grasped, and the nature of non-contention cannot be observed, inferred, or believed. Similarly, all logicians cannot observe, infer, or believe the nature of the ultimate truth that transcends all logic. Then, the Blessed One spoke this verse at that time: The object of individual self-awareness is without characteristics, inexpressible, and all speech is completely cut off. Non-contention is the ultimate truth, which is the nature that transcends all logic. Thus it is said. Among them, the nature that transcends difference and non-difference should be observed as it is stated in the Sutra Unraveling the Intent. The Bodhisattva Highly Pure Intelligence said to the Blessed One: Blessed One, for what reason did the Blessed One say that the ultimate truth is subtle, profound, and the nature that transcends difference and non-difference, and is difficult to realize? It is wonderful that the Blessed One has spoken so well! Blessed One, in one direction here, there are many Bodhisattvas abiding in the stage of practice by faith, who, starting from thinking about the difference and non-difference of conditioned phenomena and the ultimate truth, come to each other, and after coming, gather together. Then, some Bodhisattvas say: The nature of conditioned phenomena and the nature of the ultimate truth are not different. Some say: The nature of conditioned phenomena and the nature of the ultimate truth are not different and non-different, but the nature of conditioned phenomena and the nature of the ultimate truth are different. Some with doubtful minds and dualistic minds say: Among those Bodhisattvas who say that the nature of conditioned phenomena and the nature of the ultimate truth are different, and those who say that the nature of conditioned phenomena and the nature of the ultimate truth are not different, which saying is more? Which saying is less? Which is
