As I have seen and heard those things, I cling to them with insistence and manifest attachment, and then I name them, saying, 'This is true, and that is false.' That is what they need to examine closely later. For those beings who are not of childish nature, those who see the truth, who have attained transcendent noble wisdom, and who directly know the inexpressible nature of all dharmas, when they see or hear conditioned and unconditioned things, they think thus: 'Whatever appearance of conditioned and unconditioned things there is, that does not exist; but for whom the concept of conditioned and unconditioned things arises, and the concept of the names of conditioned and unconditioned things, and the characteristics of actions arising from conceptualization, like an illusion, this exists. This that makes the mind completely deluded exists,' they think thus. As they have seen and heard those things, they cling to them with insistence and manifest attachment, but they do not then name them, saying, 'This is true, and that is false.' Rather, they name them in order to correctly understand the meaning, and that is what they do not need to examine closely later. Son of good family, thus, the reality of the noble ones, with the wisdom of the noble ones and the vision of the noble ones, inexpressibly, is fully awakened, and in order to realize that inexpressible nature itself, it is named conditioned and unconditioned. Then, the Bodhisattva Meaning-Profound, Definitive Explanation of Intent, at that time spoke these verses: Profound, not the realm of childish ones, Inexpressible, non-dual, though the Victorious One has shown it, Yet these childish, ignorant, deluded ones, Delight in the play of speech, and abide in duality. Those who have not realized or have realized wrongly, Will also be born as sheep and cattle, Abandoning the speech of knowing, They will wander in this cycle for a very long time. Thus it was said. Regarding this, the characteristic of being truly beyond the realm of speculation should be examined as it is said in the Sutra Unraveling the Thought.

Ya, Lord! The Bodhisattva Dharmadhika thus addressed the Blessed One: Blessed One, in a very early time of the past, after passing through seventy-seven Ganges sands of worlds from here, in the Buddha-field of the Tathagata Great Fame, called the World of Fame, I was there. At that time, I saw seventy-seven hundred thousand kotis of various non-Buddhists and their teachers, etc., who, starting from contemplating the ultimate nature of all dharmas, gathered in a certain place, contemplating the ultimate nature of all dharmas, measuring, closely observing, and completely searching, but failed to realize it. They had different wisdoms, were of two minds, had low wisdom, argued endlessly, and debated with each other. They harmed each other with the power of their tongues, slandered each other, suppressed each other, punished each other, and dispersed separately. Blessed One, I then thought: Alas! The Tathagatas appear in the world, and their appearance enables them to contemplate the ultimate truth and to directly see the nature that transcends all discriminations. It is truly rare and wonderful! After so reporting, the Blessed One said to the Bodhisattva Dharmadhika: Dharmadhika, it is just so, it is just so. I have directly and completely awakened to the nature of the ultimate truth that transcends all discriminations, and after directly and completely awakening, I have also declared, explained, distinguished, established, and truly shown it. Why is that? Because I have said that the ultimate truth is the self-realized wisdom of each of the noble ones, while what ordinary people can recognize is the object of discrimination. Dharmadhika, therefore, from this perspective, you should recognize that whatever transcends all discriminations is the ultimate truth. Dharmadhika, furthermore, I have said that the ultimate truth is the object of the signless, while discrimination is the object of signs.
