Therefore, for a Bodhisattva who is diligent in the discipline of conduct, the six places of observation should be examined separately, namely: oneself, others, lacking resources, possessing resources, lacking Dharma, and possessing Dharma, these six are the places of observation. Among them, the so-called lacking resources means not obtaining robes and alms, etc., what has not been obtained cannot be obtained, and what has been obtained and used will be interrupted. Possessing resources can be understood from the opposite situation. The so-called lacking Dharma means that the precepts are decayed, and the words of the ultimate Dharma spoken by the Tathagata, what has not been heard before cannot be heard, what has not been heard before cannot be truly thought about, there are obstacles to hearing, there are obstacles to thinking, speaking out what has been heard and thought, and not obtaining the merits arising from meditation, and what has been obtained will be completely lost. Possessing Dharma can be understood from the opposite situation. Therefore, a Bodhisattva should not strive to help others obtain resources by making himself lack Dharma. Similarly, in order to obtain resources, one should not help others obtain Dharma in this way. In the context of this meaning, the so-called lacking Dharma should be understood as including the decay of precepts, including actions consistent with the decay of precepts, and including the complete loss of Dharma that has been obtained. One should strive to help others obtain resources by making oneself lack resources, but only if the acquisition of such resources does not lead to a lack of Dharma. If it leads to a lack of Dharma, one should not strive. Similarly, in order to obtain resources, one should also strive in this way to obtain Dharma. One should also strive to help others obtain resources by making oneself possess resources. Similarly, in order to obtain resources, one should also strive in this way to obtain Dharma. One should also strive to help others obtain resources by making oneself possess Dharma. Similarly, in order to obtain resources, one should also strive in this way to obtain Dharma.

It is so. If one does not combine in this way, it becomes with faults; if one combines, it becomes without faults. Thus, this is a summary of the precepts of the Bodhisattva who has taken them correctly. The Bodhisattva should always keep in mind and study it. If any one of the three types of moral discipline of a Bodhisattva is not complete, should it be said that it is held by the precepts of the Bodhisattva, or should it be said that it is not held? It should be said that it is not held. Among those three types of moral discipline, it is like this: the moral discipline of vows is what gathers and accomplishes. If it is held and protected, then others are also held and protected; if it is not held and protected, then others are also not held and protected. Therefore, if the moral discipline of vows of a Bodhisattva is broken, it should be said that all vows are broken. If it is for the sake of making others praise, or for the sake of pleasing others, or for the sake of making others take it correctly, then it is only taking it. If one does not follow and observe from the bottom of one's heart with one's own faith, and does not place the mind of compassion close to sentient beings, and does not take it with the desire for virtue, then it should be said that it is not held. Then, he will not be combined with the completion of virtue, and he will not obtain the benefit of its fruit. On the contrary, one should know that it is held by the precepts, combined with the completion of virtue, and one will also obtain the benefit of its fruit. If that precept is not abandoned, then one should know that it will also follow in other lifetimes. If it is abandoned, then it is not so. Abandoning that precept, in short, is caused by four reasons: generating a resolve that is not the same as the mind of taking it correctly; speaking words with offering in front of someone who cannot communicate; committing all or each of the four things like the place of defeat; committing all or each of the four things like the place of defeat with great entanglement.
