Thinking that it is not its own nature, one should understand that this is without attachment to it. Because the latent habit is not abandoned, as long as the latent habit of bad karma is not abandoned, then that latency is attachment. Having abandoned it, one should understand that this is without attachment to it. How should one view the characteristics of attachment to the nature of other-dependence and non-attachment to it? It is said: Because the nature of complete imputation is awakened, completely knowing that it is its own nature and its own nature, this is the initial attachment to it. Merely a sign, completely knowing that it is not its own nature and its own nature, this is without attachment to it. Not having abandoned the bondage of signs, focusing on signs, this is the second attachment to it. Having abandoned the bondage of signs, thoroughly knowing the realm of signlessness, not focusing on signs, and then focusing on it as it is, one should understand that this is without attachment to it. How should one view the characteristics of attachment to the nature of complete accomplishment and non-attachment to it? It is said: For the nature of complete accomplishment, there is only non-attachment, because that realm is not the place that becomes the basis of attachment. Seeing it, knowing it, the pride of manifesting what has not been manifested and attachment, one should view that as only attachment to the nature of complete imputation and the nature of other-dependence. How should one completely know the nature of complete imputation? It is said: One should completely know the nature of complete imputation as merely a name, merely complete imputation, without characteristics, without self-nature, unborn, unceasing, not all afflictions, not purified, originally peaceful, naturally completely nirvana, not past, not future, not presently arising, not possessing, not non-possessing, not bound, not liberated, happiness
