It is caused by attachment to it, and it is caused by non-attachment to it. If asked, how many types of the nature of the perfectly established are there? It is said that the nature of the perfectly established is of one taste in all places, therefore, there is no differentiation and establishment of various types for it. If asked, upon what should the nature of the completely imputed be said to rely? It is said to rely on three things: reason, name, and discrimination. If asked, upon what should the nature of the other-powered be said to rely? It is said to rely on the attachment to the nature of the completely imputed itself, and on that which agrees with the reason of self. If asked, upon what should the nature of the perfectly established be said to rely? It should be said to be non-abiding and non-reliant. In summary: non-existence, action, and subtle things, etc., bodiless birth and attachment, complete knowledge and all afflictions, suffering-like and dependent. If the nature of the completely imputed does not exist, what fault would there be? It is said that the nature of the other-powered would have no name, and there would be no attachment to names. If that were the case, there would be no afflictions, and there would be no purification. If the nature of the other-powered does not exist, what fault would there be? It is said that there would be no need to abandon everything, and there would only be no afflictions. If that were the case, there would only be no purification. If the nature of the perfectly established does not exist, what fault would there be? It is said that there would be no purification in everything. If asked, how many things does the nature of the completely imputed do? It is said that there are five: it produces the nature of the other-powered, it applies names to it, it produces attachment to persons, it produces attachment to phenomena, and it completely grasps the habitual tendencies of attachment to both of these, taking up bad destinies. If asked, how many things does the nature of the other-powered do? It is said that there are only five: it causes the arising of the nature of all afflictions, it serves as the basis for the nature of the completely imputed and the nature of the perfectly established, and it is the root of attachment to persons.

It is the basis for clinging, the basis for manifest clinging to the Dharma, and the basis for the habituation of bad destinies of manifest clinging to both of them. From the perfectly established nature, what are the purifiers? It is said that there are five, because the antidote to the five aspects of the two is the object of focus for arising. Should the completely imputed nature be described as subtle or coarse? It is said that it should be described as subtle. Just as it is subtle, it is difficult to see and difficult to represent. Should the other-dependent nature be described as subtle or coarse? It is said that it should be described as coarse, but it is difficult to see and difficult to represent. Should the perfectly established nature be described as subtle or coarse? It is said that it should be described as extremely subtle. Just as it is extremely subtle, it is extremely difficult to see and extremely difficult to represent. Among these three natures, which are without body and cause those with body to enter? It is said that there is one. Which are with body and cause those with and without body to enter? It is said that there is one. Which are with body and do not cause entry? It is said that there is one. Which are unborn and cause the born to be born? It is said that there is one. Which are born and cause the born and unborn to be born? It is said that there is one. Which are not born and do not cause the born and unborn to arise? It is said that there is one. Regarding the completely imputed nature, how should one view the characteristics of manifest clinging and the absence of manifest clinging to it? It is said that it should be viewed in two ways: manifest clinging to it when it is awake or the absence of manifest clinging to it, and manifest clinging to it when it is asleep or the absence of manifest clinging to it. In that case, the name arising from the designation of terms completely understands the nature of the Dharma, and it should be known that it is awake. In that case, the one who is merely skilled in names, this is merely a name, this is not the Dharma.
