It is completely revealed as desire. Furthermore, in order to abandon the desire-related pervasive thoughts of those who have renounced desires and become monks, recognizing that some of those pervasive thoughts are also called desires, and in order to abandon them, pervasive thoughts are also completely revealed as the nature of desire. Why is it said that craving is completely revealed as the nature of the truth of arising? The answer is: because of two reasons. Craving is the very nature of causing desire and non-desire; and the very nature of pervadingly entering. For example, craving that manifests towards desiring bodies and enjoyments, because it is closely taken and fully enjoyed, also causes desire. It also causes non-desire, manifesting towards non-desire for its antidote, virtue, because it is closely taken and joined, it causes non-desire, and thus from desire and non-desire, wandering in samsara will not cease. Its very nature of pervadingly entering should also be understood in three ways, namely: for example, pervasion in terms of situation is because all feelings enter through the five sense gates; for example, appearing delighted when encountering, appearing delighted when not separating, appearing delighted when not encountering, appearing delighted when separating, because the constantly related body clings to the alaya consciousness. Pervasion in terms of time is: for example, focusing on the past, focusing on the future, and focusing on what has arisen in this way. Pervasion in terms of place is: for example, focusing on the bodies of this life and the next life, and focusing on places that have been obtained and not obtained. Why is it said that by abandoning desire, abandoning hatred, and abandoning delusion, one should make the mind abandon desire? If the basis of afflictions does not arise from form and feeling, etc., the answer is: if one abandons desire from those, then one will also abandon desire from those. Furthermore, afflictions are the very nature of being connected with all afflictions, therefore there are many faults, for example, all the faults that arise from the basis should be regarded as arising from afflictions. Those faults are: for example, in the case of mastering the aggregates, the faults of non-virtue.

The object should be thoroughly examined as previously shown. Furthermore, it is because of the ability to reverse. Just as afflictions can be reversed from the basis, but the basis cannot be reversed in all of everything. Furthermore, by meditating on the impure and so on with the worldly path, things are refuted, and even if one enters the realm of detachment, it is like this, because the mind is not completely liberated from afflictions, it is connected with the afflictions of the detached realm, therefore, in that way, only by being free from afflictions can the mind be completely liberated, not by the detachment of the basis. At this time, the remaining texts of determination are not obvious. Why in the sutras, are self-grasping, grasping at what is mine, conceit of "I am", attachment, and latent predispositions separated from other afflictions and completely shown in all afflictions?

The doctrines of the heretics are twofold: the cause of wrong practice and the cause of the arising of suffering. Among these, the cause of wrong practice is the sixty-two views. If one clings to these views, then beings will engage in wrong practice with body, speech, and mind. The cause of the arising of suffering is the non-abandonment of latent tendencies. The causes of these two doctrines are also twofold: the cause of the cause of wrong practice is the clinging to self and the view of the perishable aggregate, which is the aspect of clinging to what is mine. The cause of the cause of the arising of suffering is not cultivating the initial and final two due to the pride of thinking "I am." Among these, the initial is because of not listening and not cultivating properly. The final is because of generating excessive pride. Furthermore, in the Vinaya of the well-spoken doctrine, there are four dharmas that are supreme, principal, excellent, most excellent, abundant, and not shared by outsiders. What are these four? They are the excellent discrimination of truth, the dharmas that cause one to truly rejoice in those who practice the same pure conduct as oneself, the absence of hatred towards the criticisms of others, and the non-reversion from the pure. In the Vinaya of the wrongly spoken doctrine, there are four dharmas that are incompatible with these: the clinging to self and the clinging to what is mine—the view of the perishable aggregate, the pride of thinking "I am," the clinging and holding as supreme, thinking "This is true," and the non-abandonment of latent tendencies. Therefore, even if one is born in the peak of existence, one will revert. Furthermore, there are two kinds of clinging: clinging to the senses and objects, and mutual clinging among beings. Among these, clinging to the senses and objects should be observed with the two, clinging to self and clinging to what is mine. Mutual clinging among beings should be observed with the pride of thinking "I am," that is, with aspects such as "I am great." If craving is the cause of suffering, then why did the Blessed One also fully declare that the seventh limb is also the cause of suffering? It is said: Because it is the cause of suffering in this life. Thus, for which beings is there desire or attachment
