Those roots of virtue that, with suffering and discomfort, practice celibacy in this life, but do not produce happiness. There are some that do produce happiness, but are not virtuous, namely those roots that are not specified, which in this life are neither afflictive nor non-afflictive, but produce unspecified happiness. There are some that are both virtuous and produce happiness, namely those roots of virtue that, with happiness and comfort, practice celibacy in this life. There are some that are neither virtuous nor produce happiness, namely those roots that are unspecified and unwholesome, which produce suffering in this life. The intermediate summary is: meaning, place, attainment, collection, food, and limits. That which holds all the meaning of action, that which holds all the meaning of action, therefore, are the aggregates. Another way of saying it is, constantly increasing by actions and afflictions, constantly increasing by actions and afflictions, therefore, are the aggregates. Another way of saying it is, constantly acting and decaying, constantly acting and decaying, therefore, are the aggregates. Entering for the sake of generating phenomena, entering for the sake of generating phenomena, therefore, are the realms, which is the term for "throwing away." That which expands the place of mind and mental phenomena, that which expands the place of mind and mental phenomena, therefore, are the sources of arising. Possessing rapid decay from conditions and arising, possessing rapid decay from conditions and arising, therefore, is dependent arising. It is the cause for instigating, it is the cause for instigating, therefore, it is the place. The place that is not the right cause is not so. Possessing self-mastery over views and so forth, possessing self-mastery over views and so forth, therefore, are the faculties. Therefore, the establishment of the aggregates and so forth, in short, should be understood by six causes: namely, the establishment of the body, the establishment of its cause, the establishment of sentient beings, and the means of its entering.

Placement, and the methods of placing its entry into decline and becoming different, and placing the owner who enjoys it, in short, the six things that those six wise ones did not grasp well are: not grasping the body well, not grasping the inconsistent factors such as nature and autonomy well, not grasping the owner who dwells in the body well, not grasping the destruction of its death, transfer, and birth well, not grasping the effort towards its good and non-good well, not grasping the enjoyer of its desired and undesired realms well, these are all explained in detail and fully demonstrated. In order to properly follow and see with benefit, and to diligently engage in being skilled in placing the classification of dharmas and being extremely skilled in distinguishing, then in short, there are ten benefits: in order to fully understand the view of the perishable aggregates, the notion of the whole will be completely destroyed; for the dharmas of existence and non-existence, one will not be harmed by truth and existence; oneself will also become without hesitation and doubt; even if others ask questions, one will be able to make the non-believers believe and increase the believers; in order to make the teachings abide for a long time, one will only answer well, thus making the answer complete; one will enter the understanding of dependent origination; one will realize that the hundred givers, Brahma, the lord of beings, nature, and the purusha, etc., have no author and no body; one's own intellectual capacity will increase, develop, and expand, and the dharmas of good and non-good, as well as the vast dependent origination and the limits of complete distinction, will be truly understood as they are; for the dharmas of good and non-good, as well as the vast dependent origination and the limits of complete distinction, one's own memory will be well established; when entering the dharma that is in accordance with the dharma, relying on and abiding in mindfulness, one will touch the single-pointedness of the mind of virtue.
