The wisdom obtained thereafter is called the wisdom arising from the edge of realization. That wisdom, at the end of the third mind, arises from the path of seeing and becomes manifest. Previously, it was examined by worldly wisdom. Regarding the established truths, those arising from the power of the lower ground and those arising from the power of the lower ground over the higher ground, similar to the wisdom of Dharma and following Dharma, worldly wisdom, worldly or transcendental, or the wisdom obtained after the transcendental, for each truth, in order, arise the wisdom of desire and the wisdom of certain realization, two each. Thus, arising from the previous realization, for the truths of the higher or lower ground, whatever two wisdoms arise, that is called the wisdom arising from the edge of realization, the realization of truth. Among them, the former wisdom is without discrimination because it focuses on the Dharma that dispels appearances. The latter wisdom is with discrimination because it focuses on the Dharma that does not dispel appearances. Moreover, the former wisdom abandons the latent tendencies of afflictions to be abandoned by seeing from their place. The latter wisdom abandons the activity of those very afflictions by focusing on the object. Moreover, the former wisdom abandons the path of cultivation with the transcendental path. The latter wisdom abandons with the worldly and transcendental paths. The worldly path alone cannot completely destroy latent tendencies, because the worldly path is familiar and arises from attachment to signs. Since it arises from attachment to signs, it will not turn to the destruction of signs, and since it does not turn to the destruction of signs, it will not turn to completely destroying bad destinies, therefore it cannot completely destroy latent tendencies. What is the ultimate realization? It is said: For abandoning the Dharma to be abandoned by cultivation, the transcendental that unites the knowledge of exhaustion and the knowledge of non-arising, and the worldly and transcendental, that is, in this life, certainly abandoning all afflictions, and

Moreover, when all the aggregates have completely ceased, this is called ultimate realization. Then, what is the knowledge of cessation that transcends the world? It is the wisdom that has no conceptualization regarding cessation. What is the knowledge of cessation that is both worldly and transcends the world? It is the wisdom that has conceptualization regarding cessation. What is the knowledge of non-arising that transcends the world? Answer: Regarding the cessation of the aggregates themselves, in the sense of their cause, there is no further arising of aggregates in the future, and there is no conceptualization about this. What is the knowledge of non-arising that is both worldly and transcends the world? Answer: Regarding the non-arising of aggregates in the future, there is conceptualization. Those of the Brahmin caste regard these three places as true and real, and they cling to them. Then, these Brahmins abide in these very three places with minds that are truly afflicted by three faults. Thus, they are actually counted among those who are not Brahmins. What are these three places? They are livelihood, properly engaging in merit, and contemplating the result. For those of the Brahmin caste, livelihood is sustained through auspicious speech, praise, and expressing desires. These Brahmins, whether from a king, a great minister, a Brahmin, a householder, a town dweller, a villager, a wealthy person, a merchant, a captain, or from whomever they beg for the necessities of life, they will say this: May your enemies be exhausted and completely annihilated, suffer, be conquered, and be killed! Likewise, may your glory and power be immovable, eternal, unchanging, and not be taken away! They will utter such auspicious words. Similarly, they will also offer praise, such as: You are a hero! You are endowed with strength and power! You are courageous! You are able to kill enemies! They will also offer such praise. If enemies have been killed, they will say this: You have indeed killed the enemies in this way! A being like you, free from enemies, in the world
