Disharmony leads to illness, The disharmony of aging leads to old age, The disharmony of declining life force leads to death, The disharmony universally present in blood leads to itching, The disharmony of being unable to tolerate faults leads to fainting, The mixing of earth and water leads to swelling, The disharmony of coming, going, striving, and diligence leads to fatigue, Harmony separated from this leads to rest. Clearing away dirt and the like and completely getting rid of listlessness leads to the attribution of good luster. If all these are summarized, they will only become the six states of the great elements, namely: the combination of the initial state and the non-initial state; the combination of the aggregated hard state and the non-aggregated hard state; the soft state; the mixed state; disharmony and harmony. Thus, if these six states exist, they will become eight, and if eight exist, they will also become six. All the ultimate states of form and touch are to be cognized by two kinds of consciousness, namely: to be cognized by their respective consciousnesses, and to be cognized simultaneously or sequentially by mind consciousness. The five senses, such as the eye, are to be cognized only by mind consciousness. In the realm of form, there are no smells and tastes, but there are their realms. Why? Because these two are contained by food. Since they do not exist, there is no nose consciousness and tongue consciousness, only that they do not exist in universal arising, but not that they do not exist in the realm. Among all forms contained by the form aggregate, nine types are substantially existent. The four great elements contained by touch are substantially existent. Other than these, it should be understood that they are imputedly existent. Form belonging to the sphere of phenomena is of two types, namely: substantially existent and imputedly existent. That which arises from power, such as the emanation in the state of Samadhi, its fruit, its object, and the object of consciousness that is similar to it, are substantially existent.

It is so. That which belongs to discipline and that which does not belong to discipline is existent by investigation. The form that is the object of meditative absorption is also the form that has the great elements of meditative absorption as its cause, and is similar to the form aggregate; those themselves are similar to it as well. Worldly meditative absorption arises in dependence on that which is with outflows and that which is without outflows, but not from that which is beyond the world, because that arises from the cause of meditative absorption that has the aspect of proliferation. In all states of mental equipoise, there is no power to make form manifest and accomplish, but some of them do have it, just like the ability to produce emanations. Without discrimination, by the power of previous mental engagement, that which is free from darkness, extremely pure, and appears as expressible, that should be regarded as born. That which appears through discrimination, repeated discrimination, and the power of aspiration, that should be regarded as unborn. Although that is not the object of meditative absorption that is beyond the world, some should be regarded as arising from its power, and that is also inconceivable. What is the difference, then, between the form that operates in the desire realm and the form that operates in the form realm in terms of substance? The form that operates in the form realm is clear because it definitely emits supreme light, subtle because it is not the object of the lower sense faculties, and not associated with suffering because there is no feeling of suffering in its body. But that which operates in the desire realm is not like that. Thus, the difference between the two is like that. Furthermore, in brief, it should be understood that the characteristics of the form aggregate are sixfold: own-characteristic, common-characteristic, place, characteristic related to place, proximate-characteristic, function-characteristic, and subtle-characteristic. Among these, the own-characteristic is the characteristic of solidity and so forth of earth and so forth, and the characteristic of the respective faculties of the eye and so forth. Among these, the common-characteristic is that all forms are characteristics of being able to be manifested. Among these, the place and the characteristic related to place

The great elements such as earth are the places, and the forms that are the cause are the places. Among them, the characteristic of near action is that, due to the power of the near action of the internal sense-base forms, the external forms arise separately, that is, in accordance with the near action of the internal sense-base. Among the aggregates of form, some arise only as solid, some only as liquid, some only as warm, some only as mobile, and some arise only as mixed. Among them, the characteristic of action is as follows: the support of the great elements such as earth, as well as the characteristics of gathering, ripening, and moving. Furthermore, it will be explained in detail below. Among them, the characteristic of minute parts is what is the characteristic of atoms. Furthermore, minuteness itself is of three types, namely, the minuteness of decomposition, the minuteness of nature, and the minuteness of mental control. Among them, the minuteness of atoms is shown by the minuteness of decomposition. Among them, the minuteness of forms such as wind and the intermediate state is shown by the minuteness of nature. Among them, the minuteness of forms that act in form is shown by the minuteness of mental control, as it is said: Those gods whose minds are equal and unchanging, how do they, even though they are settled in one direction by the amount pierced by the tip of a needle, not obstruct each other, nor harm each other? Thus, thus, those minds have been completely subdued and completely purified. Such things should be regarded as the same as the substance of the aggregate of form. Among them, it should be known in what way the atoms of form establish time. Answer: It has already been established extensively in the reality of earth. In short, there are five ways, namely: all-pervasive, differentiated, unmixed, simultaneous, and indivisible. Among them, when establishing from all-pervasive, by completely analyzing the limit of form decomposition with the mind, only atoms can be established, not from the body form, therefore, it does not transform into the birth of atoms,
