What should one rely on in order to maintain the arisen virtues, to perfect meditation, to increase and expand virtues? Starting with material possessions, what is the moderation in receiving robes and other items from donors and faithful patrons? That is what I call reliance. Why? Because in this way, the monk's body will not be tired, his mind will be workable, and a non-afflicted mind will arise. Moreover, these virtues will not be completely lost, but will increase. What should one rely on in order to generate the unarisen virtues? One should rely on those elder monks who are adorned with discipline, who know that the joy of Nirvana is the most excellent among all joys, who diligently practice, and who have no arrogance. One should prostrate to them, serve them, rejoice in their good words, be sincere, and have no fault-finding mind. Why? Because in this way, a monk who skillfully relies on them will receive corresponding advice and help from them in order to quickly generate the unarisen virtues that are in accordance with the aspects of enlightenment. In this way, if these four limbs exist, they will become eleven, and if eleven exist, they will also become four. There are seven meanings: to be analyzed in detail, to be adopted, to be clarified, to be accomplished, to be prevented, to be summarized, and to be categorized. There are seven kinds of mental happiness: arising from hearing, arising from thinking, arising from meditation, arising from unobstructedness, arising from related speech, arising from remembering one's own qualities, and arising from not being content with inferiority. There are five kinds of Dharma: the Dharma of teaching, the Dharma of discipline, the Dharma to be upheld, the Dharma of enjoyment, and the Dharma of attainment. Shooting an arrow has three qualities.

is complete, namely, the merits of the bow, the merits of the arrow, and the merits of shooting. Among these, the merits of the bow are two: possessing good material and being perfectly completed. The merit of the arrow is one: it is being perfectly completed. The merits of shooting are three: perfecting the shooting, being accustomed to shooting, and learning from a shooting master. The Tathagata teaches the Dharma in three ways: teaching for a long time, teaching continuously, and teaching without repetition. The way the Tathagatas teach the Dharma is immeasurable in three ways: namely, the form of diverse meanings, the form of diverse words and phrases, and the form of diverse answers to debaters. The obstacles to entering the path can be understood as five types: the obstacle of the sun, the obstacle of difficult passage, the obstacle of rivers, the obstacle of thirst, and the obstacle of physical fatigue. Two types of discipline lead to going to a good rebirth: correctly taking the discipline and not breaking the discipline. When enjoying desires, the meaning of this life is threefold: obtaining enjoyments, completely protecting them, and not being attached to these enjoyments. The length of life is of two types: long and short. Temporary changes are also of two types: coarse and subtle. The merits of knowledge are also two: the merit of correctly understanding the meaning and the merit of the essence. Among these, the merit of correctly understanding the meaning is to quickly and correctly understand, to certainly and correctly understand, and to subtly and correctly understand. Among these, the merit of the essence is the place of equanimity, complete non-degradation, transcendence of the world, well-meditated, without degradation in one's own realm, surpassing with virtuous roots similar to one's own kind, and surpassing with virtuous roots similar to others. The antidote to the three types of dependence is to cultivate the four mindfulnesses: dependence on friends, dependence on gain, and dependence on other existences of rebirth. Combination

And realization, from the tantra: the attachment of desire, and the combination of the antidote of ignorance, non-mentation, and the realization of the truths of mentation, the continuum of those who are free from desire, and those who are not free from desire. From the body, the ground, and the antidote: not striving in samadhi, and striving and attainment, and non-attainment, practicing from the purification of the body, practicing from the purification of attention, and from the antidote of practicing therein. The six realizations, from the realization of thought to the ultimate realization, what is said therein, what is the sign of the realization of thought? It is said: One who possesses the realization of thought, from the very beginning of being an ordinary being, considers all conditioned things to be impermanent, all conditioned things to be suffering, all dharmas to be without self, and nirvana to be peaceful. In any case, other than these, whether it be a shramana or a brahmin, or a god or a demon, or Brahma, or anyone in the world, cannot take away what is in accordance with the Dharma, thus it is certain. What is the sign of faith realization? It is said: One who possesses faith realization, whether he is an ordinary being or not, in this life or this life and the next, it is impossible to say that there is another teacher, another well-spoken Dharma, another well-entered Sangha. What is the sign of moral discipline realization? It is said: One who possesses moral discipline realization, it is impossible to knowingly kill the life of a sentient being born in the realm of animals, to take what is not given, to engage in sexual misconduct with desires, to knowingly lie, to drink alcohol and concocted alcohol, and mixed alcohol, to rely on a place of recklessness. The wisdom of realization, what is the sign of true realization? It is said: One who possesses the wisdom of realization, true realization, is the place of practicing views, Doubt and hesitation arise about one's own realization, joy in all places of birth, and believing in purification through practicing signs,
