The opposite is completely pure. Accepting alms is also impure for two reasons: accepting alms in a bad field, and accepting alms without regard for (the donor). The three fields are the field of merit, the field of compassion, and the field of benefit. Fields other than these should be known as bad fields. The opposite is completely pure. Accepting (wealth) for the sake of others is also impure for two reasons: accepting for someone unfamiliar, untrusted, or unknown, and accepting with a mind mixed with desire. The opposite is completely pure. Regarding the use of property in the Vinaya, there are five reasons why it is not allowed: it is inherently sinful, it is not caused by conditions, it is not suitable for use, it does not belong to oneself, and it has not been allowed. What is inherently sinful is like this: relying on cheating in measuring, cheating in weighing, cheating in measuring, killing, binding, cutting, and relying on means such as beating and extremely clinging to forcibly harming to obtain the use of property, which is not allowed. What is not caused by conditions refers to the use of property such as fields, houses, shops, and the possession of horses, elephants, cattle, sheep, chickens, ducks, and pigs, as well as the possession of women, men, boys, and girls, as well as the possession of slaves, servants, employees, and those who live by sharing, as well as the possession of gold and silver, and the possession of grain storage, and so on. What is not suitable for use is like this: made from feces, made from urine, made from saliva, made from snot, stained with blood, stained with pus, stained with pus and blood, stained with grease and serum, and other similar items. The Blessed One said that containers for feces, urine, etc., are not allowed to be used.

Oh, thus it is said. What does not belong to this is as follows: not exhorting the Sangha's enjoyment, not including it in the alms bowl, not belonging to the alms bowl, giving it privately for personal enjoyment, not giving, not releasing, not making it free, not being a place of attachment, because it has not been finally decided. What has not been allowed is that it has not been allowed by five kinds of allowance. What are the five allowances? They are as follows: allowing by giving and receiving, allowing by damaging, allowing by placing, allowing by the ritual of time, and allowing by completely abandoning conceptualization. The opposite of this is not allowed. Twenty-eighth fascicle. The Vinaya should be deeply understood by five establishments. What are the five establishments? Establishing the precepts, establishing transgressions, establishing definite renunciation, establishing negligence, and establishing actions. Among them, the establishment of precepts should be deeply understood by five places: having autonomy, not having autonomy, truly showing the fault of breaking the precepts, truly showing the fault of manifesting joy in evil deeds, and excessive or non-excessive practice of the faults of both. Among them, having autonomy is like this: when the tamers are not controlled by afflictions, and the afflictions do not make them lose their autonomy, then such autonomous tamers are considered to have autonomy only for excessively practicing the precepts. Among them, not having autonomy is like this: when the tamers are controlled by afflictions, and the afflictions make them lose their autonomy, then such non-autonomous tamers are considered not to have autonomy for excessively practicing the precepts, and the basis of the precepts is established. Among them, truly showing the fault of breaking the precepts is like this: for any good nature that has transgressions, it is truly observed that one should not only excessively practice it, and in order to protect the precepts, the basis of the precepts is established. Among them, truly showing the fault of manifesting joy in evil deeds is like this: for any true observation that is an obstacle to manifesting diligence in the aspect of virtue, in order to counteract it, a transgression is established.
