These ways of seeing should be understood in order. Seeing the arising and destruction of conditioned things is seeing impermanence. Seeing what is associated with the three sufferings is seeing suffering itself. Seeing what is different from that, free from self and what belongs to self, is seeing emptiness itself. Seeing that conditioned things themselves have no characteristics of self and what belongs to self is seeing selflessness itself. Thus, this is the correct view that focuses on the truth of suffering. For the truth of origin, seeing it as cause, origin, arising, and condition is called seeing as binding, because the truth of origin completely afflicts and binds the truth of suffering. For the truth of cessation, seeing it as the truth of cessation, peace, excellence, and definite departure is called seeing as separation, because the truth of cessation is completely separated from afflictions and all aggregates. For the truth of the path, seeing it as the path, wisdom, practice, and definite guidance is called seeing as the cause of separation, because the truth of the path goes for the sake of separation. When the view of impermanence, suffering, emptiness, and selflessness arises first, and later the view of disease, tumors, pain, and sin arises, why show disease and so on first? It is said that considering the person who has attained the path, disease and so on are shown first, because the student who has seen the path sees the aggregates as disease and sin with special intention. In order to abandon the remaining bonds of such a view, in order to make the previous view of impermanence and selflessness more completely pure. In short, there are two ways of seeing impermanence and so on: in order to make those who have not yet obtained the view of disease and so on obtain it, so it goes before and leads them into the state of seeing disease and so on, making it not completely pure; and for those who have already obtained the view of disease and so on, thereby arising

, and in order to completely liberate the mind, it is completely purified by relying on observing diseases and so on. Among these eleven aspects, the aspect of emptiness and the aspect of selflessness are the two aspects of emptiness. The remaining eight are the aspects of no aspiration. The only aspect of separation in the truth of cessation is the aspect of no characteristics. In terms of the path of cultivation, although all transcendental paths take the four truths as their objects, it should be known that they are the antidotes to the afflictions in the three realms. In this way, the learner, through the fundamental view, with the two wisdoms of prior Dharma knowledge and subsequent understanding, directly and indirectly realizes all actions. On the path of cultivation, all actions are gathered into one, becoming one part, becoming one collection. It is only observed with aspects such as impermanence. These are practiced in the desire realm. These are practiced in the form and formless realms. These are manifest. These are hidden, and no such distinctions are made. Therefore, it should be known that all that is encompassed by the transcendental path and the path of cultivation are the antidotes to all afflictions of the lower and upper grounds. Noble ones mostly, when the transcendental path follows the path of cultivation, repeatedly contemplate the object of no characteristics with the aspects of no characteristics. Why is that? Because contemplation enables one to live happily in this life and to abandon afflictions. The five supernormal cognitions, freedom from afflictions, telepathy, perfect knowledge, The ten powers of the Tathagata, the fearlessnesses, and other unmixed qualities of the Buddha are obtained after the path, are pure, and are dependent on the path, but they are not encompassed by the truth of the path. When all four truths should be completely known, why is it said that only the truth of suffering should be completely known? The answer is: Thus, the truth of suffering is

You two should fully understand, that is, to understand by means of self-characteristics and general characteristics. The others are only understood by their own characteristics, that is, to fully understand the truth of arising with aspects such as causes, which is also its own characteristic; to fully understand the truth of cessation with aspects such as cessation, which is also its own characteristic. To fully understand the truth of the path with aspects such as the path, which is also its own characteristic. Therefore, it is said that only the truth of suffering should be fully understood. When the truth of suffering should also be abandoned, why is it said that only the truth of arising should be abandoned? Abandoning the truth of suffering is distinguished by abandoning the truth of arising, therefore it is said that only the truth of arising should be abandoned. The realization of the truths is of two kinds, namely the realization of knowledge and the realization of abandonment. Among them, the realization of knowledge is the sequential arising of knowledge of the different self-natures of the truths. The realization of abandonment is also a gradual transformation, because the manifestation of abandoning afflictions depends on the arising of knowledge. Chapter Twenty-Seven. There are five reasons for striving diligently, namely, teaching the holy Dharma, associating with those who possess reason, viewing laziness and diligent effort as faults and benefits respectively with the power of discernment, the complete maturation of the continuum, and obtaining the difference between before and after. There are two manifestations of abandonment, namely the manifestation of abandonment that causes the seed to deteriorate, and the manifestation of abandonment that completely destroys the seed. There are two liberations, namely liberation from the aspects of afflictions, and liberation from the bonds of the basis of afflictions. Regarding what was said, "Monk, without deceit, come," what faults of deceit did the Thus-Gone-One correctly observe, that he does not correctly teach the deceitful? The answer is: There are twelve, namely, the deceitful one is the cause of the basis of deceit.
