It should be said that it is only the unspecified. Apart from what has been abandoned and what has not yet been obtained, whether it is virtuous, non-virtuous, or unspecified dharma, all those that arise with their own seeds should be said to arise from maturation. In all three realms, the last moment of consciousness at the time of death and the second after the first moment of consciousness of rebirth should be regarded as having a feeling that is neither suffering nor happiness. Except for the first moment of consciousness of rebirth, all of them should be regarded as being completely included in maturation. Apart from that, feelings of happiness and suffering should be understood as arising from maturation. Whatever kind of seed is contained by maturation, it arises from that maturation depending on such causes and conditions. For example, for sentient beings born in hell, the aftermath of maturation is a continuous stream of suffering and displeasure arising from maturation. Just as it is for sentient beings born in hell, it is the same for some pretas. For some pretas, animals, humans, and gods who engage in desire, in the aftermath of maturation, sometimes suffering and displeasure arise, sometimes happiness and joy arise, and sometimes feelings that are neither suffering nor happiness arise, so it is uncertain. For those born in the first and second dhyanas, only joy arising from maturation continuously arises in the aftermath of maturation. For those born in the third dhyana, mental happiness continuously arises. From the fourth dhyana onwards, it is the maturation of the feeling of neither suffering nor happiness, so it should be regarded as arising from maturation. Moreover, since virtuous dharmas are completely encompassed by great happiness and joy, even if neither suffering nor happiness manifests, it is desired by maturation.

It should be known. The opposite of that should be understood as unpleasant. Among them, the maturation of white karma, the maturation of whiteness, is unobscured and unspecified, because it is completely grasped by the seed of a uniquely pleasant feeling, it should be known as uniquely pleasant. The maturation of black karma, the maturation of blackness, should be regarded as the opposite of that. The maturation of mixed karma, the maturation of mixed black and white, because it possesses two kinds of seeds, therefore the feeling born from maturation should also be regarded as only two kinds. Among them, mixed karma can also be established through the difference of types, in any place where both white and black exist, the collection of karma in that place is established as mixed. It can also be established through the difference of things, for example, in this place, for any thing, sometimes a mind of benefit is established, and for that same thing, sometimes a mind of harm is established, like this, and taking from others and giving alms, it should be regarded as being established through such a difference of things. Mixed karma can also be established from its nature, for example, some people intentionally benefit some people with wisdom, but as a result harm others, like this. Also, for example, in this place, some people, towards violent and cruel people who do evil deeds, give rise to a hateful mind, saying do not like doing evil deeds, then, because this mind is in accordance with hatred, it relies on the black side, and because it is in accordance with not liking evil deeds, it relies on the white side, therefore, that karma and others similar to it should be said to be mixed. Twenty-fourth chapter. Those seeds of virtuous, non-virtuous, and unspecified dharmas that have not been completely destroyed, all of those are the cause of the manifestation of arising, therefore they are called dharmas with a cause. The maturation of previously done karma and afflictions, those maturations that mature in the three realms, are the cause of leading...

Firstly, those afflictions have their causes. Similarly, the birthplace of beings born from the womb, when the three causes that lead to birth manifest, should be regarded as having causes. The birthplace of beings born from warmth and moisture, because the causes that lead to birth, warmth and moisture, are close, therefore it has causes. Similarly, the birthplace of beings born from eggs, because the cause that leads to birth is the formation of the eggshell, therefore it also has causes. Likewise, the six aggregates of consciousness, which together with the condition of the owner become the cause, from name and form, etc., up to the ultimate of mind and dharmas, should be regarded as having causes. Similarly, the mind and mental factors that arise simultaneously also have causes because of the cause of acting together with each other. Likewise, non-virtuous dharmas should also be said to have causes, because they rely on non-noble individuals, hearing non-noble dharma, and improper attention, which are the causes that lead to birth. Virtuous dharmas should also be regarded as having causes, because the causes that lead to birth are the three opposites of the above. Similarly, suffering and discomfort arising from a state of being completely afflicted, and arising from the fruitless labor of wrong effort, also have causes because of the causes that lead to birth. Similarly, happiness and comfort arising from a state of not being afflicted, and arising from the fruitful labor of correct effort, should also be said to have causes, because the causes that lead to birth are these. Becoming free from desire through the worldly path, and the accomplishment of dhyana and the formless realms, also have causes because of the causes that lead to birth. Whatever birth occurs in this life, relying on the samadhi of dhyana and the formless realms, also has causes because of the causes that lead to birth. What are the supramundane dharmas accomplished through worldly dharmas?
