The distinct separation of multiple aggregates, and without name and expression, its wisdom does not arise, because name and expression are directed towards meaning. The extreme of imputation is that, regarding the nature of other-powered and the nature of perfectly established, saying that they do not exist, this is the slander of one's own characteristics. Therefore, one should understand the principle of that sole meaning by abandoning the two extremes. Furthermore, the principle of attainment and the principle of explanation, these two, should be understood appropriately by the two principles of the inconceivable and the intention. Here, what is said as the intention related to other meanings, what meaning is it? It is said that the meanings of the collection of names, the collection of sentences, and the collection of letters are related to other meanings. Although not exactly the same as the literal meaning, nevertheless, having abandoned the literal meaning, the other difference of meaning itself is called the intention related to other meanings. Therefore, if one understands the principle of that sole meaning by abandoning the two extremes, one will attain the meaning to be attained. If the meaning to be attained is attained, then the principle of attainment other than that will also be understood by the principle of the inconceivable. All the principles of explanation will be understood by the principle of the intention of the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, and that is also appropriate to each. Entering into the faultlessness of understanding the principle of that sole meaning should be known in five ways, namely: entering into the faultlessness of not being separated from desire, entering into the faultlessness of being mostly separated from desire, entering into the faultlessness of being separated from desire, entering into the faultlessness of the solitary realizer, and entering into the faultlessness of the Bodhisattva. What is the characteristic of the unfortunate state? In short, it is the characteristic of being unusable. That characteristic of being unusable should also be known in five characteristics, namely: the characteristic of being heavy, the characteristic of being hard, the characteristic of obscuration, the characteristic of laziness, and the characteristic of being unbearable due to lack of control. If these characteristics exist, they will abide in accordance with the collection of all afflictions, and with the pure

Because it is inconsistent with the aspects, therefore it is said to be impermissible. When the established truth is said to be the truth itself, why is the unestablished truth not shown? Answer: If there is no unestablished truth, then the two liberations, liberation from the bondage of characteristics and liberation from the bondage of bad destinies, are not permissible. Like this, some people practice the established truths, and all of them are practicing characteristics. If they practice characteristics, they cannot be liberated from the bondage of characteristics, and if they are not liberated from the bondage of characteristics, they cannot be liberated from the bondage of bad destinies either. Practicing the unestablished truth is not practicing characteristics. If one does not practice characteristics, one can be liberated from the bondage of characteristics. If one is liberated from the bondage of characteristics, one can also be liberated from the bondage of bad destinies. If one can be liberated from bondage and become pure only by relying on the unestablished truth, why is the established truth shown? Answer: It is for the sake of purifying the path of accumulation and the path of preparation. If one can be liberated from the two bondages and become pure only by relying on the activity of the mind with characteristics, what fault is there? Answer: Some people rely on the fourth dhyana with a very focused mind, taking truth as the object, and enter into virtuous dharmas that are in accordance with the part of discernment. All of them should be able to be liberated from the two bondages and become pure, but in reality they will not become pure, therefore it is not permissible. If the difference between the worldly path and the transcendental path also disappears, because there is a difference between having characteristics and not having characteristics, therefore it is also not permissible. The increase of the five great elements of the senses is fivefold, namely: increasing with food, increasing with sleep, increasing with abandoning sorrow, increasing with celibacy, and increasing with entering into samadhi. If these are briefly summarized, they will become two kinds of increase, namely: increasing with manifestation and harm
