It should be understood from the complete understanding of the various distinctions of [wisdom] and so on, as they truly are. [Wisdom] starts from the liberation of the mind, and the place of complete affliction and complete purification of the mind is like this: it should be understood from the grasping of objects such as form and the various consciousnesses. The fruit of worldly wisdom and the liberation of the mind itself is like this: it should be understood from being similar to it, possessing and mixing with it, thereby liberating from inferior kinds of afflictions. As for the liberation of wisdom itself, the realm of activity of transcendental wisdom is like this: it should be understood from the complete understanding of all knowable things such as worldly wisdom and the liberation of the mind itself, as they truly are. The fruit of transcendental wisdom and the liberation of the mind itself is like this: it should be understood from liberating from all kinds of afflictions. Among them, what is worldly wisdom, and what is transcendental wisdom? Combining the two into one is called right view. And the cause of right view is like this: it should be recognized that there is the appearance of a Buddha, hearing the true Dharma, and applying the mind properly. The characteristic of the fruit of transcendental right view is like this: it should be understood from being constant in the past and future and without contradiction. If some dharmas have contradictory aspects, if they arise, they will not arise, and if they cease, they will cease, and those that do not have contradictory aspects, and arise after ceasing, these are called having contradiction. If some dharmas, whether or not they have contradictory aspects, whether they arise or not, are always present, then it should be recognized that these are without contradiction. As for its fruit, the liberation of the mind, along with its realm of activity, and the complete purification of its place is like this: due to the complete purification of the mind, afflictions will not arise in the realm of activity of the colored sense faculties, and the sense faculties also follow that complete purification, it should be understood from following these. Mind liberation

The reason for its abiding is as follows: It can be known from the continuous relationship of life and warmth depending on each other and abiding. The difference in the results of the two kinds of liberation, mundane and supramundane, is as follows: For the future life that is completely ignorant and has desire for feelings and their basis, its arising will also manifest and be accomplished; for the future life that is completely not ignorant and has no desire, its arising will not manifest and be accomplished, from this it can be known. Because it is mixed and identical with this, therefore, the reason for knowing that the Dharma arising from the mind that depends on this is pure is as follows: It is not defiled by the present cause, that is, it can be known from individual experience. The difference in the abiding of these two liberations is as follows: The death and transmigration of the six kinds of completely pure consciousness of quiescence are the same, but it is not because their places are the same, from this it can be known. Entering into samadhi without manifesting intention is quiescence, and emerging from samadhi without manifesting intention is quiescence, gradual emergence from samadhi, and the arising of the three kinds of intention of entering into samadhi is quiescence. For example, these three times, the noise of practicing brahmacharya in a quiet place, the noise of being a householder in a city, and in those two, the mind of emerging from samadhi for a long time by practicing with the aspect of intention is quiescence. For example, these three times are only emerging from the supreme samadhi of the world of form, and emerging from the supreme samadhi of the formless world, and in order to emerge from the supramundane samadhi with mind, because the time is near, the mind of emerging from samadhi is quiescence. Those samadhis are not only obtained from emerging from the samadhi of cessation, however, they make the previously obtained manifest. Two are obtained from gradual samadhi, and from the purity of the samadhi above it. One is not obtained from gradual samadhi, however, it is obtained from realizing the realm of no signs, and from the purity of the samadhi above it.
