I exist. There is also giving that is endowed with perfect fragrance, taste, and touch. Among them, the first is the lowest person. The second is the middle person. The third should be regarded as the highest person. Based on the field of giving, there are three kinds of people: Some people give to the wretched or to those who are helpful. Some people give to those who are suffering. Some people give to those who possess virtues and are especially excellent. Among them, the first is the lowest. The second is the middle. The third should be known as the highest. In another case, giving to the wretched is the lowest. Giving to those who are helpful That is the middle. Giving to those who are suffering and possess virtues, that is the highest. Based on the superior intention of giving, there are three kinds of people: before giving, the mind is joyful; at the time of giving, the mind is not happy; and after giving, one becomes regretful; before giving, the mind is joyful; at the time of giving, the mind is also happy; and after giving, one becomes regretful; even before giving, the mind is joyful; at the time of giving, the mind is also happy; and after giving, one does not become regretful. Among them, the first is the lowest person. The second is the middle person. The third is the highest person. From the correct acceptance of the object of merit arising from discipline, three kinds of people are established: Some abandon one aspect, but do not abandon it at all times. They abandon it themselves, but do not allow others to accept it correctly. They do not praise it. If they do not see those who are in accordance with the Dharma, their minds will not be at ease, that is the lowest person. Some abandon everything and abandon it at all times, and that is themselves, they do not allow others to accept it correctly, and they do not praise or extol it. Even if they see those who are in accordance with the Dharma, their minds will not become displeased, that is the middle person. Whoever appears to everyone, that is the highest person. From the basis of correctly taking up discipline, it should also be known that three kinds of people are established: Regarding the Dharma and Vinaya that are wrongly preached, correctly keeping the discipline.

Taking, and with respect to the well-spoken Vinaya Pitaka, one properly takes the precepts and violates them, and damages them; the third is that one does not violate them, and does not damage them. Among these, the first is an inferior person, the second is a middling person, and the third is a superior person. From the perspective of the intention to properly take the precepts, three types of individuals can also be established: one properly takes them with the intention of livelihood; one properly takes them with the intention of higher realms; and the third properly takes them with the intention of liberation from suffering. Among these, the first is an inferior person, the second is a middling person, and the third is a superior person. Furthermore, there are three types of individuals who have properly taken the vows of individual liberation and abide by them: there are also those who have properly taken the vows of a lay practitioner and abide by them; there are also those who have properly taken the vows of a lay follower and abide by them; and there are also those who have properly taken the vows of a monk and abide by them. Among these, the first is inferior, the second is middling, and the third is superior. Even just from properly taking the vows of a monk, there are three other types of individuals: some possess the qualities of having taken full ordination, but do not possess the qualities of properly taking the basis of training in accordance with that, nor do they possess the qualities of following the minds of others, nor do they possess the qualities of following and protecting after properly taking the basis of training; some possess the first three qualities, but do not possess the last quality; some possess all four qualities. Among these, the first is inferior, the second is middling, and the third is superior. Furthermore, there are three types of individuals: some possess the vows of individual liberation; some possess the vows of individual liberation and the vows of meditative concentration; some possess the vows of individual liberation, the vows of meditative concentration, and the vows of non-contamination. Among these, the first is inferior, the second is middling, and the third is superior. Furthermore, there are three types of individuals: some possess the discipline of morality encompassed by neither vows nor non-vows, listen
