If, thinking separately that harm will be done to the enemy, one proceeds to act, this should be said to be perverse conduct in desire arising from hatred. If, out of hatred for others, in order to accomplish perverse conduct with another's wife, one incites others, and by those words makes those others also engage in perverse conduct with those desires, this is similar to perverse conduct in desire arising from hatred, or it will be touched by a particularly superior transgression. If one commits adultery with such a mind, relating to one's mother, or relating to one's father, or creating impropriety in other women, saying that not committing adultery will be stained by great non-merit, and committing adultery will possess great merit, fearing non-dharma and respecting dharma, one commits adultery, this should be said to be perverse conduct in desire arising from delusion. If one tells a lie for the sake of a small amount of wealth, this should be said to be a lie arising from attachment. If one tells a lie out of fear, thinking that it is not right for me to be diminished from the enjoyments of others, this should also be said to arise from attachment. If one tells a lie for the sake of pleasantness, or for the sake of praise, or for the sake of happiness, this should also be said to be a lie arising from attachment. If one relies on the nine objects of tormenting the mind in every way and tells a lie, this should be said to arise from hatred. If one tells a lie for the sake of the lama, or for the sake of the cow, or for the sake of the implements of sacrifice, thinking that it will become dharma, with such a mind telling a lie for those purposes, this should be said to be a lie arising from delusion. If one deceives with false words the ascetics and brahmins who are the opponents of the Vedas, and the opponents of Brahma and the Lord of Beings, thinking that it will become dharma, with such a mind deceiving with false words, this should also be said to be a lie arising from delusion. If one also perceives dharma as dharma, and perceives discipline as discipline.

Changing the concept from other aspects, creating division in the Sangha with false words, thinking that it will not become unlawful, so lying is also a lie arising from ignorance, it should be said. Just like lying, divisive speech and harsh speech should also be viewed appropriately. If one speaks frivolous words for the sake of joy and play, it should be said that it is frivolous words arising from attachment. If one speaks frivolous words for the sake of superiority of knowledge, gain, fame, praise, or for the sake of comfort, it should also be said that it is frivolous words arising from attachment. If one speaks relying on the nine objects of tormenting thoughts, it should be said that it arises from hatred. If one thinks about the true meaning and the essential meaning, as well as the meaning that will inevitably arise and the meaning of the Dharma, and speaks frivolous words, it should be said that it is frivolous words arising from ignorance. If one first regards the property of others and the belongings of others as impure objects, and only because of the desire for belongings, towards harmless beings, generates the thought 'Whatever belongs to others, may it become mine,' and generates an attachment that is more painful than pain, it should be said that it is greed arising from attachment. If one does not regard the enjoyment of others as an impure object, but relies on the nine objects of tormenting thoughts, generates the thought 'Whatever belongs to others, may it become mine,' and generates desire for hateful things, it should be said that it is greed arising from hatred. If one aims to pursue the worlds of Vishnu, Shiva, Indra, and Brahma, and focuses the mind on this, thinking that one will gain great merit in this way, with such a mind, abiding with a mind focused on this, it should be said that it is greed arising from ignorance. If, for the sake of gain, fame, praise, or comfort, one generates a mind of torment towards others, and
