Offering adorned pleasant things, bracelets, and all ornaments such as armlets, even offering bells, scattering gold coins, and offering with silk threads wrapped around them, this should be known as the Bodhisattva's offering and respect to the Tathagata or the Tathagata's stupa. Furthermore, the Bodhisattva, with the offering and respect to the Tathagata or the Tathagata's stupa, makes offerings for a long time, with many objects, abundant objects, manifest, unmanifest, done by oneself, done by others, manifesting joy from the depths of the heart, making offerings with strong faith, and dedicating the roots of virtue to the unsurpassed perfect enlightenment, this is called the Bodhisattva's seven great offerings. Furthermore, the Bodhisattva does work for the Tathagata or the Tathagata's stupa with his own hands, not despising, not being careless, not being lazy, not letting others do it, doing it respectfully, not disrespectfully, doing it without distraction, not doing it with an afflicted mind, not pretending to gain offerings and respect from great sentient beings such as kings who have extreme faith in the Buddha, offering with suitable objects, that is, smearing with milk, bathing with ghee, fumigating with gugul incense, using argha flowers, etc., and not using other unsuitable objects, this should be known as the Bodhisattva's various unafflicted offerings. The vast and unafflicted offering and respect are also when the Bodhisattva, with the basis of enjoyment obtained through his own efforts, or sought from others, or those who have authority over wealth, make offerings to the Tathagata or the Tathagata's stupa. Among them, the Bodhisattva who has authority over wealth manifests two bodies, three bodies, or many bodies, even countless bodies.

Then, having manifested, with all those bodies, he prostrates to the Tathagatas. And on each of those bodies, he manifests a hundred hands, or a thousand hands, or even more than that. With all those hands, he scatters supremely fragrant, supremely delightful flowers that transcend the divine realm upon those Tathagatas. All those bodies proclaim extremely vast praises possessing the true qualities of the Tathagatas. All those bodies offer and adorn the Tathagatas with arm ornaments, jewel-decorated earrings and bracelets, as well as umbrellas, victory banners, and various kinds of supreme banners. Like this, a Bodhisattva who has the power to obtain corresponding resources makes offerings with autonomous intention. He does not need to expect and seek the appearance of the Buddha. Why is that? Because in this way, he has entered the irreversible stage, so he can walk unobstructed in all Buddha lands. The Bodhisattva's enjoyment is neither obtained by his own efforts, nor is it completely sought and obtained from others. Although the Bodhisattva does not have the power to obtain enjoyment, whatever offering is made to the Tathagatas, whether it is Jambudvipa, or the four continents, or the small thousand world, or the middle thousand world, or the great thousand world, or the ten directions of immeasurable and boundless world realms, all those small, medium, and large ones should be filled by a Bodhisattva with faith, with a joyful and vast intention, and rejoice. Moreover, the immeasurable great offering made to the Tathagatas by the Bodhisattva in a short time is perfected by the great accumulation of Bodhi. Therefore, the Bodhisattva should always and continuously strive with mental ease and mental joy. Therefore, the Bodhisattva should, little by little, briefly, even in the shortest time, cultivate the mind of loving-kindness towards all sentient beings, possessing compassion.

One cultivates a mind endowed with joy and equanimity. Likewise, for all phenomena, one cultivates the perception of impermanence, for impermanence the perception of suffering, for suffering the perception of selflessness, and for nirvana the perception of benefit. Likewise, one cultivates the recollection of the Tathagata, the Dharma, the Sangha, and the Paramitas. Likewise, even slightly, for a moment, with a small amount of patience and wisdom directed towards all phenomena, one is devoted to the inexpressible nature of reality, suchness, without discrimination, and abides with a signless mind. What need is there to mention what is above and beyond that? Likewise, a Bodhisattva who fully protects the vows of morality, strives in calm abiding, insight, and the dharmas of the path to enlightenment, and likewise, truly strives in the Paramitas and the objects of gathering, this belongs to the practice of a Bodhisattva, and is a supreme, precious, and unsurpassed offering to the Tathagata. All the previous acquisitions and respectful offerings in every way do not even come close to one hundredth or one thousandth part of that offering, and do not even come close to expanding to continuity. It should be known that these ten ways are all the distinctions of offering to the Tathagata. Just as the offering to the Tathagata is, so too should the offering to the Dharma and the offering to the Sangha be understood accordingly. Among these, the Bodhisattva who makes these ten kinds of offerings to the Three Jewels does so with six superior intentions directed towards the Tathagata: the superior intention of the unsurpassed field of merit, the superior intention of unsurpassed benefit, the superior intention of being the best of all sentient beings, such as the footless and bipeds, the superior intention of being as rare as the Udumbara flower, and the superior intention of appearing alone in the three-thousand great-thousand world system, the unique superior intention.
