What is the patience of all Bodhisattvas? It is to be observed in four aspects: that is, the Bodhisattva endures the harm done by friends, non-friends, ordinary people, and all three, as well as those who are inferior, equal, and superior to oneself. What is the patience of a noble Bodhisattva? It is to be observed in five aspects: that is, the Bodhisattva initially regards patience as beneficial, because a patient person will not have many enemies in the future, nor will there be many divisions, will become happy and content, will die without regret, and even if the body is destroyed, will be born among the gods in the happy realm of higher worlds. Thinking in this way, seeing the benefits in this way, one will endure oneself, and also cause others to correctly uphold patience, and also speak praises of patience, and even if one sees a patient person, one will be delighted and always feel happy. What is the patience of all aspects of a Bodhisattva? It is six aspects and seven aspects, which, when combined, should be known to be thirteen aspects: that is, the Bodhisattva endures even destruction because he knows that intolerance will lead to the maturation of unpleasant results; he also endures with the love of compassion, the love of compassion, and the love of antidote towards sentient beings; because he has a strong desire for the unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment, he wants to perfect the perfection of patience, so he also endures with the cause that can accomplish it; the Blessed One said that renunciants are powerful in patience, therefore, with this title, he correctly upholds the precepts, and for renunciants, it is unreasonable not to have patience, so he also endures because he correctly upholds the Dharma; because he has a perfect lineage and abides in the previous practice of patience, he also endures by nature; because he knows that there are no sentient beings in all dharmas, and only sees the inexpressible dharma, he also endures because he definitely thinks about the dharma; he also endures all harm.

Enduring the suffering of birth, the suffering of old age, sickness, and death, and so on. Such a bodhisattva who endures does not mingle with sinful and unwholesome dharmas, and abides in the enjoyment of happiness in this life, and also obtains the cause of happiness in the next life. Thus abiding, he also enters (the Buddhist path) in order to bring happiness to other beings in this life and the next. Therefore, this is called the endurance that brings happiness in this life and the next. What is the pure endurance of a bodhisattva? That is to be observed in ten aspects. Here, when a bodhisattva is harmed, impoverished, or opposed by others, he does not retaliate with harm, nor does he become agitated, nor does he harbor resentment. As before, he later strives to benefit them, does not harm those who perform beneficial deeds, and even purifies those who cause harm with compassion. Even if he is disliked by others, he is willing not to involve others in disputes. Not taking this as a cause, starting from intolerance, he mostly has a sense of shame and embarrassment. Starting from endurance, he mostly respects the teacher and has reverence. Starting from not treating sentient beings with unpleasant actions, he mostly has a compassionate mind. Or, he completely abandons all companions of intolerant dharmas, and is free from desire and attachment. Through these ten aspects, it should be known that the endurance of a bodhisattva is pure and undefiled. The nature of endurance, etc., up to pure endurance, endurance is vast and immeasurable. Relying on these, the great fruit of Bodhi can arise, and the bodhisattva will manifest the supreme, perfect, and complete enlightenment. The eleventh chapter on endurance from the Bodhisattva-bhumi-yoga-sthāna. Summary: It should be understood as before. What is the nature of a bodhisattva's diligence? It is the accumulation of immeasurable virtuous dharmas, and...
