Therefore, if enjoying wealth would harm them for a long time and only bring harm, that would not be right. Therefore, just for that reason, take it back again. What belongs to the Sangha should be offered to the Sangha, and what belongs to the offerings should be offered to the stupa. Those who manage or guard the gardens, if they waste the property of the stupa unreasonably, or if they enjoy it themselves, the Bodhisattva should examine them separately. If that action and improper enjoyment would cause them long-term harm and be unhelpful, that would not be right, and it should be taken away from the one in power. In this way, the Bodhisattva will not be at fault even if he takes without giving, and merit will increase greatly. For example, if a Bodhisattva householder is tormented by a woman who wants to engage in impure conduct, and has a strong attachment to her, and is filled with mental torment, if this would increase much non-merit, that would not be right. Therefore, he should be able to freely lead her to the root of virtue and make her completely abandon the root of non-virtue. He should only keep the heart of compassion close, and if he engages in impure conduct for the sake of sexual activity, he will not be at fault, and merit will increase greatly. A Bodhisattva who is ordained should never engage in impure conduct in any way in order to protect the teachings of the Hearers from being destroyed. For example, in order to save many sentient beings from danger to their lives, from being freed from bondage, from being freed from being cut off from their hands, feet, noses and ears, and in order to protect them from being gouged out of their eyes, the Bodhisattva does not tell lies even for his own life, but for the benefit of those sentient beings, he can speak lies after examining them separately. In short, the Bodhisattva sees only the benefit of sentient beings, and nothing else. He himself also has a mind without contamination, and is based entirely on the desire to benefit sentient beings.

Therefore, if one can understand and transform, speaking other words with understanding, while speaking, it will not become a fault, and merit will also increase greatly. Thus, a Bodhisattva, for those beings who are completely controlled by unwholesome friends, relying solely on a compassionate heart, thinking that if these beings are harmed for a long time due to associating with evil friends and become useless, that would be bad. Therefore, to the best of their ability, they speak words that separate them from those unwholesome friends, and they are very happy to separate their fields. Even if a Bodhisattva creates a rift in friendship in this way, it will not become a fault, and merit will also increase greatly. Thus, a Bodhisattva, for those beings who have entered the wrong path and are doing unreasonable things, always uses that method to awaken them from the unwholesome state, and in order to place them in the wholesome state, always speaks harsh and severe words. Thus, even if a Bodhisattva speaks harsh words, it will not become a fault, and merit will also increase greatly. Thus, a Bodhisattva, for those beings who are fond of dance, song, and the sound of music, and for those who are fond of kings, thieves, food, drink, prostitutes, and street talk, etc., is skilled in dance, song, the sound of music, and various talks. With a compassionate heart, they please and desire them with dance, song, the sound of music, and various joking words, thereby controlling them, making them listen to teachings, awakening them from the unwholesome state, and placing them in the wholesome state. Thus, even if a Bodhisattva speaks joking words, it will not become a fault, and merit will also increase greatly. A Bodhisattva, if they accept hypocrisy, flattery, discord, measuring by gain, wanting to acquire by acquisition, living by wrong livelihood, etc., and do not prevent and eliminate these, it will become a fault and a violation, and it will become a fault of affliction. In order to abandon these, generate intention and strive, affliction increases.
