Without being stingy, he shows everything to everyone, and he shows everything without interruption. He shows according to the order of words and letters, and after showing according to the order of words and letters, he distinguishes the meaning only according to the order. He also shows and explains the Dharma that is in accordance with the meaning, and he also shows the meaning that is in accordance with the Dharma, not that which is not in accordance with the meaning. To those who are worthy of being shown correctly, he shows correctly. To those who are worthy of being led to understand correctly, he leads them to understand correctly. To those who are worthy of being praised correctly, he praises correctly. To those who are worthy of being made happy correctly, he makes them happy correctly. He speaks words that are endowed with direct perception, inference, and reliable testimony, not words that are not endowed with valid cognition. Also, it is in accordance with going to happy migrations, is harmonious, easy to enter, and not coarse, therefore it is not confused, and it is also in accordance with the four noble truths. In all retinues, he speaks the words that are appropriate to be spoken to that retinue. Know that the words of the Bodhisattvas, for the time being, in those fifteen ways, are in accordance with all the benefits of sentient beings. Moreover, the Bodhisattva speaks to those who harm sentient beings, drawing near with a mind of loving-kindness. To those sentient beings who behave improperly, he speaks drawing near with a mind of benefit. To those sentient beings who are happy and suffering, and to those who are heedless and dejected, he speaks drawing near with a mind of benefit, happiness, and compassion. Because he is entangled by jealousy, he does not praise himself, and he does not slander others. With a mind free from attachment, he teaches the Dharma to others without expecting gain, respect, and offerings. The Bodhisattva speaks completely pure words in those five ways. Those, if briefly summarized, become twenty ways, namely: timing, respect, order, connection, accordance, making happy, making desire, making satisfied, making joyful, not blaming, being in accordance with reason, not mixing, and with Dharma.

Possessing, and how the retinue is, loving-kindness, beneficial mind, compassionate mind, not dwelling in gain, respect, and praise, not praising oneself and not disparaging others. Thus, a Bodhisattva teaches the Dharma to others. What is the practice of a Bodhisattva that accords with the Dharma? In brief, it can be understood in five ways: how to seek completely, how to hold those Dharmas, to practice them with body, speech, and mind, to think well, to meditate, and whatever Dharmas the Bhagavan did not allow to be done with body, speech, and mind, and whatever actions of body, speech, and mind were not allowed to be done with body, speech, and mind, to completely abandon them as they are, to rely on them separately and to gather them correctly, and to practice them with body, speech, and mind is called practicing the Dharma in accordance with the Dharma. What is the Bodhisattva's good thinking? Here, a Bodhisattva, desiring to think about the Dharmas he has heard, desiring to measure them, desiring to examine them closely, goes alone to a solitary place, abandons the places that should not be thought about at first, and strives to think about the Dharmas. He constantly thinks with a practice of constant reverence. He does not relax. When a Bodhisattva engages in thinking, some analyze with reason and follow accordingly, while others merely have faith. When thinking, one should rely on the meaning, not on the words. One should also fully understand the dark side and the great side as they truly are. From the very beginning, one engages in thinking. Having engaged, one obtains the essence by repeatedly and correctly attending to it. When a Bodhisattva abandons what should not be thought about, he does not become foolish or distracted. If one constantly thinks with a practice of constant reverence, one will understand and obtain the meaning that was not previously understood, and the meaning that has been understood and obtained will not be lost or forgotten.
