That which the Tathagata's four unsurpassed and unequaled individual perfect knowledges, namely, the individual perfect knowledge of Dharma, the individual perfect knowledge of meaning, the individual perfect knowledge of terms, and the individual perfect knowledge of eloquence, possessing these is called supreme wisdom. That which the Tathagata's six unsurpassed and unequaled superknowledges, possessing all that was previously taught, is called the Tathagata's supreme power. That which the Tathagata has abandoned all defilements together with their predispositions, and abandoned the obscurations to knowledge, possessing the unsurpassed and unequaled, is called supreme abandonment. That which the Tathagata abides in the three unsurpassed and unequaled abodes, namely, the noble abode, the divine abode, and the Brahma abode, abiding greatly in these, is called the supreme abode. Among these, abiding in emptiness, signlessness, and wishlessness, and abiding in the cessation attainment, is called the noble abode. The four concentrations and the formless attainments are called the divine abode. The four immeasurables are called the Brahma abode. Among these three abodes, four are supreme abodes, namely, the Tathagata greatly abides in these abodes: in the noble abode, abiding in emptiness, and abiding in the cessation attainment; in the divine abode, abiding in the immovability of the fourth concentration; in the Brahma abode, abiding in compassion. Therefore, the Tathagata observes with the Buddha's eye, who is increasing, who is decreasing, whose roots of virtue have not yet arisen, should be made to arise, and even who should be established in the supreme fruit of Arhatship, thus observing the world three times during the day and three times during the night, six times day and night. Among these, with the supreme body, the Tathagata is called the Great Man. With the supreme accomplishment, he is called the possessor of great compassion. With the supreme perfection, he is called the possessor of great discipline and the great Dharma. With the supreme wisdom, he is called the possessor of great wisdom. With the supreme power, he is called the possessor of great superknowledge. With the supreme abandonment, he is called the possessor of great liberation. With the supreme abode

The supreme one is called "dwelling in abundance" by the great dwelling place. The qualities of those Tathagatas are proclaimed in ten aspects, and it is the recollection of qualities. What are the ten? Thus, the Bhagavan is the Tathagata, the Arhat, the Perfectly Awakened One, endowed with knowledge and conduct, the Well-Gone, the Knower of the World, the Tamer of Beings, the Unsurpassed, the Teacher of Gods and Humans, the Buddha Bhagavan. Because he speaks without perversion, he is called the Tathagata. Because he has attained all that is to be attained, and because he is an unsurpassed field of merit, he is also worthy of offerings, therefore he is called the Arhat. Because he has truly understood the nature of all dharmas as they are, he is called the Perfectly Awakened One. Because he possesses the three knowledges and the feet mentioned in the sutras, namely, higher vision, calm abiding, and the aspects of both, he is called endowed with knowledge and conduct. Because he has gone in an excellent and superior way, and also because he has gone without returning, he is called the Well-Gone. Because he knows all aspects of the defilement and purification of the realms of sentient beings and the realms of the world, he is called the Knower of the World. Because he knows the supreme means of taming sentient beings, and because he is the only man who has appeared in the world, he is called the Unsurpassed Tamer of Beings. Because he is like an eye, and because he is wisdom, meaning, and dharma, in order to clearly establish the meaning, and to show all meanings, and to make one realize the inconceivable meaning, and to cut off arising doubts, and to explain the profound places, and to make one completely pure, and because he is the root of all dharmas, and because he is the guide, and because he is the teacher, therefore he truly shows the arising from all sufferings to gods and humans, and explains them separately, therefore he is called the Teacher of Gods and Humans. The collection of dharmas that have meaning, and the collection of dharmas that do not have meaning, and all the collections of dharmas that are neither meaningful nor meaningless
