These causes of complete maturation, as previously stated, are for the purpose of fully maturing my own Buddha-dharma, and for the sake of ensuring that other sentient beings and other individuals attain liberation through the three vehicles, diligently accomplishing the complete maturation of faculties, the complete maturation of roots of virtue, the complete maturation of wisdom, and the complete maturation of small, medium, and great degrees. The chapter on complete maturation from the Yogic Practices of the Bodhisattva Grounds, the sixth. What is enlightenment? In brief, enlightenment is the two abandonments and the two wisdoms. The two abandonments are the abandonment of the obscuration of afflictions and the abandonment of the obscuration of knowledge. The two wisdoms are the wisdom that is without defilement and unrelated to all afflictions, which is attained after abandoning the obscuration of afflictions, and the wisdom that is unobstructed and without impediment in relation to all objects of knowledge, which is attained after abandoning the obscuration of knowledge. Other terms include perfect wisdom, omniscience, unattached wisdom, the complete destruction of all habitual tendencies of afflictions, and the complete abandonment of non-afflictive ignorance, which is called unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. Among these, the wisdom that completely abandons all that includes the habitual tendencies of afflictions in every way is called purity. That which knows all realms, all things, all aspects, and all times without obstruction is called omniscience. There are two kinds of realms: the realm of the world and the realm of sentient beings. There are also two kinds of things: conditioned and unconditioned. Regarding these two things, conditioned and unconditioned, they are also differentiated by their own characteristics, differentiating later and later aspects, differentiating by common characteristics, differentiating by cause and effect, and differentiating by realms, destinies, virtue, non-virtue, and unspecified factors, etc., with limitless ways of differentiation. There are three kinds of time: past, future, and

Now it has come to pass. Thus, the one who knows all realms, all things, all forms, and all times is called the all-knowing one. For that wisdom without attachment, merely by intention, one enters into wisdom without attachment swiftly and without obstruction in all places. That wisdom is not repeatedly intended, but is only connected by a single intention. Furthermore, the one hundred and forty unshared qualities of the Buddha, as well as the Tathagata's freedom from afflictions, knowing according to aspiration, and individual perfect knowledge, these are the unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. The one hundred and forty qualities of the Buddha are these: the thirty-two major marks of a great being, the eighty minor marks, the fourfold complete purity in all aspects, the ten powers, the four fearlessnesses, the three mindfulnesses, the three non-protections, great compassion, the nature of not forgetting, the complete destruction of habitual tendencies, and the supreme wisdom of all forms. The classification of these qualities of the Buddha comes from the chapter on 'Perfect Discrimination'. This supreme enlightenment possesses seven supremes; therefore, it is called the supreme of all enlightenments. What are the seven supremes? Supreme body, supreme practice, supreme perfection, supreme wisdom, supreme power, supreme abandonment, and supreme abode. That which the Tathagata possesses, a body well adorned with the thirty-two major marks of a great being, that is his supreme body. That which the Tathagata engages in for the benefit of oneself, the benefit of others, the benefit of many beings, giving happiness to many beings, loving the world, and for the sake of the benefit, welfare, and happiness of gods and humans, that is his supreme practice. That which the Tathagata possesses, the four unsurpassed and unequaled perfections, namely, perfection of discipline, perfection of view, perfection of conduct, and perfection of livelihood, that is his supreme perfection.
