The latter two abodes are a complete commitment to accomplish the benefit of others. Among them, the Tathagata made a commitment by making the bodhisattvas who have truly entered the Great Vehicle the masters, because they themselves have manifestly and completely awakened to all dharmas and have become perfectly and completely enlightened. The exhaustion of all outflows is a commitment made by making sentient beings who have truly entered the Hearer and Solitary Buddha vehicles the masters. Both the path of definite emergence and the dharmas that obstruct it are commitments made by making those two the masters. When the Tathagata spoke the words of the sutra, he said, "What is the path of definite emergence that I have proclaimed for the bodhisattvas and the hearers?" From the extensive explanation, the word bodhisattva is a true collector, and it appears from the context of the Hearer's Vinaya. In the Bodhisattva's Vinaya, only the word bodhisattva is mentioned. The treatise on the three mindfulnesses is as it appears in the sutra. The Tathagata has long thought: "In this way, the Dharma and Vinaya that I have well taught should be diligently practiced and abide as they are. Why not?" From a long time ago, he thought in this way. The Dharma Lord's assembly completely gathered, and those thoughts, whether accomplished or not, are without all afflictions. In short, they are well distinguished by the three mindfulnesses. Those are also established as three by the distinction of the three wheels. What are the three wheels? This is the first wheel: everything is certain to be truly accomplished. This is the second wheel: everything is certain to be accomplished in a reversed way. The third wheel is that some of them are truly accomplished, and some are accomplished in a reversed way. The treatise on the three unguardednesses should be understood as it appears in the sutra. In short, this is what the Tathagata taught with the three unguardednesses: abandoning the concealment of committed misdeeds in every way. Even for arhats, because of forgetfulness, there is no proclamation in a hundred out of a hundred paths.

Whatever slight occurrence of wrongdoing there may be, the Tathagata does not possess any of that at all. Therefore, the Tathagata is of such a nature as he has vowed. He has repeatedly admonished and instructed the Shravakas. He has severely suppressed them, severely suppressed them, and for some, he has inflicted blame. For some, he has abandoned them and even treated them harshly. Because of the cause of association, knowing that the bodily and verbal conduct of my Shravakas is completely impure, therefore, being displeased and unhappy with these things, thinking that they will not speak or proclaim to others, he does not have that guarding of them. Therefore, the great compassion of the Tathagatas should be understood as previously shown in the various offerings, reliance, and immeasurable chapters. The great compassion of the Tathagata is immeasurable and unsurpassed. The Tathagata diligently acts, at what time and place, and how, at that time and place, he diligently acts in such a way, therefore, this is called the nature of the Tathagata's non-forgetfulness. Like this, in all the actions of the Tathagata, all the objects, all the methods of acting, and all the times, there is no forgetfulness, and constantly abiding in mindfulness, this should be regarded as the nature of non-forgetfulness. Therefore, the Tathagata's moving, seeing, guarding, or abiding, without conduct that resembles having afflictions, this is called the Tathagata's complete destruction of habitual tendencies. Although the Arhats have abandoned afflictions, seeing, guarding, conduct that resembles having afflictions, moving, seeing, speaking, and abiding still exist. In short, the Tathagata is perfectly enlightened in the collection of the three categories of dharmas, which three? Dharmas that have meaning, aspects that do not have meaning, and those that are neither having meaning nor not having meaning. Therefore, the Tathagata's dharmas that do not have meaning, and also dharmas that have meaning
