Because it emits sound in a fallen manner, it is called falling back. Because it mostly generates sorrow, only the hell of sentient beings is mentioned. Thus, by what is born, and what is experienced after being born, and after experiencing those, other sufferings that are not the suffering created by oneself also manifest, these are indicated by those names. All aspects of virtue should be understood as the opposite of this as much as possible. The distinction is that the going of those who are preceded by good conduct is called the good going. Because enjoying happiness is the best, it is called the world of higher realms. Because the latent tendencies of all outflows have been completely abandoned, therefore, as its antidote, the mind without outflows and the wisdom without outflows, and what is gathered by the superior mind and the superior wisdom, is because the outflows have all been exhausted, therefore it is called the liberation of mind without outflows and the liberation of wisdom. The liberation of mind and the liberation of wisdom, also in that last existence, rely on the path of seeing and the path of meditation to be obtained, and then in that last existence, with the six superknowledges, one knows that one has obtained it, one knows oneself as it is. If one wishes, one can also show it to others, therefore, in this very life, one accomplishes and states it by making it manifest with one's own superknowledges. The distinctions of the words such as 'my birth is exhausted' should be understood from the collection of terms. In summary, nature and distinction, non-mixture and equality, function and order, and the last one is difference. The nature of these ten powers of the Tathagata should also be understood, the distinction should also be understood, the non-mixture should also be understood, the equality should also be understood, the function should also be understood, the order should also be understood, the difference should also be understood, in short, the ten powers of the Tathagata should be understood by these seven aspects. So, what is their nature? Their nature is the five faculties, however, because wisdom is the main one, it is called the nature of wisdom, such as what is possible and what is not possible.

Is the power of knowing what is and what is not called the power of faith? It should not be called another power. Just as the power of knowing what is and what is not, the others should be regarded as similar. What is the distinction between them? In short, they should be understood as immeasurable by three distinctions. In terms of the distinction of time, it is because they encompass all knowable things belonging to the past, future, and present. In terms of the distinction of types, it is because they encompass the individual characteristics and general characteristics of each conditioned phenomenon, and the omniscience of all types. In terms of the distinction of mind streams, it is because they encompass all things in each of the mind streams of all beings in all ten directions. Therefore, these three distinctions should be used to understand that these ten powers of the Tathagata are immeasurable, and this is their distinction. What is their non-mixture? These ten powers belong only to the Tathagata, and are uniquely non-mixed, not belonging to all Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas, and this is called their non-mixture. These ten powers are equal and undifferentiated for all Tathagatas, and this is their equality. In terms of the difference of abiding, the Tathagatas also differ from each other, because different Tathagatas mainly abide in different powers. Then, with which of these ten powers does the Tathagata perform which actions? With the power of knowing what is and what is not, the Tathagata truly knows that cause is cause and effect is effect, and is able to subdue those Shramanas and Brahmins who say that there is no cause, no effect, and that cause and effect are not in accordance. With the power of knowing the results of actions, the Tathagata truly knows the actions by which beings experience the results of their deeds, and is able to subdue those Shramanas and Brahmins who say that giving and merit cannot be transferred.

The Tathagata, with the power of knowing meditation, liberation, and the attainment of samadhi, skillfully instructs those to be tamed with three kinds of miracles, and also subdues the Shramanas and Brahmins who are in disagreement and discord, and who hold to differing views. The Tathagata, with the power of knowing superior and non-superior faculties, distinguishes the small, medium, and large faculties of beings, knows them as they truly are, and teaches them the Dharma accordingly. The Tathagata, with the power of knowing various inclinations, knows as they truly are the small, medium, and large inclinations of beings towards virtue and non-virtue, increases the inclination towards virtue, and causes them to abandon the inclination towards non-virtue. The Tathagata, with the power of knowing various realms, distinguishes the inferior, medium, and superior realms, knows them as they truly are, and according to how the faculties are, how the intentions are, and how the latent tendencies are, skillfully guides beings by establishing them in those doors of entry. How the Tathagatas bestow instructions on the Shravakas to enter those various doors has been continuously, clearly, analyzed, and explained in the Shravaka-bhumi. How do the Tathagatas teach the Bodhisattvas who are beginners, who are first-time practitioners, who abide in upholding the collection of samadhis, and who desire to abide in the mind, for the sake of the Bodhisattva's mind abiding? Here, the Tathagata initially teaches the Bodhisattva who has taken up the collection of unwavering samadhis, who is a beginner and a first-time practitioner, in this way: 'Son of good family, come here! Dwell alone in a place of extreme solitude, without companionship. Whatever name your parents or your preceptor and teacher have given you, with that very name, in your mind,'
