It should be understood that birth and power are briefly taught from the perspective of aspiration to be born wherever one desires through the power of prayer, and from the perspective of the complete purification of virtuous roots. The extensive teaching is as follows: as it appears in the "Illuminating Ground" of the Ten Bhumi Sutra. That ground is called "Illuminating" because it is distinguished by the clarity of the appearance of the Dharma in the aspect of hearing, and the clarity of the appearance of samadhi. It is luminous because it relies on the complete purification of the inner mind. Therefore, that state is called higher mind. It should be understood that the meaning of what is called the "Illuminating Ground" is the same as abiding in the higher mind. What, then, is the higher wisdom in which Bodhisattvas abide, which is in accordance with and endowed with the aspects of enlightenment? Here, assuming that Bodhisattvas are seeking complete learning, they attain the ten entrances of the appearance of Dharma at the very beginning when they abide in the higher mind. Because they are great and completely perfect, they transcend abiding in the higher mind and enter the first abiding in the higher wisdom. These ten entrances of the appearance of Dharma should also be understood as they appear in the sutra itself, namely, what are the bonds, where are they bound, and with what are they equal in ultimate reality, and through defilement and purification, what becomes completely defiled, what becomes completely purified, and with what related defilements does it become completely defiled, and through what unsurpassed purification does it become completely purified. This is called the teaching of the appearance of Dharma, and it should be understood that this is the essence of its meaning. One who abides in that state, because he possesses the ten kinds of Dharma that cause wisdom to fully mature, such as irreversible intention, as it is said in the sutras, therefore wisdom is fully matured. Because he has thoroughly attained the Dharma of its own nature, he is thoroughly established as the Tathagata lineage. From all points of view, Bodhisattvas meditate on the thirty-seven dharmas in harmony with the aspects of enlightenment, such as mindfulness, as they appear in the sutra itself. Therefore, he completely grasps these dharmas by means of skillful means,

For the sake of meditation, one completely abandons all agitation and attachment to the extremely subtle view of the perishable aggregate, as well as to the aggregates, realms, and sources, etc., thereby permanently eliminating them. Having abandoned these, one does not engage in any of the actions that the Tathagata has condemned. All the actions that the Tathagata has praised, one engages in them as they are. If this is the case, then the mind will become even more gentle, pliable, and workable. When the mind becomes extremely pure in various ways, it will be endowed with various white dharmas that are in accordance with its intention, such as repaying kindness and experiencing the results of actions. One will also diligently seek and strive to perfectly purify the actions of the higher grounds, thereby attaining great diligence and abiding in it. Based on this, one's thoughts, higher intentions, and the realm of faith will be perfected. Based on this, all the heretics and demons who have become enemies of the teachings will not be able to steal or move it. The purification of the roots of virtue, from seeing the Buddha to expanding, should be understood as before. The difference here is that, for example, just as gold that has been made into ornaments by a skilled goldsmith is not stolen by gold that has not been made into ornaments, so too, the roots of virtue of that Bodhisattva are not stolen by the roots of virtue of other Bodhisattvas who are in the state of childhood. For example, just as a precious jewel that emits a bright light is not stolen by non-jewels, and its light is not cut off by wind, water, or rain, so too, that Bodhisattva is not stolen by all the Hearers and Solitary Buddhas, and the light of wisdom is not cut off by all the demons and opponents. By birth, one becomes a king of gods who is free from strife, and is skilled in transforming the view of the perishable aggregate of sentient beings. Power, it should be understood that the previous dwelling place, which was shown to increase a hundred thousand times, is described in detail here. Bodhisattvas for the aspects of enlightenment
