However it transforms, it should be known that the bodhisattva's roots of virtue are mostly pure. Abiding in this, in order to accomplish the pure intention of the mind, from the point of view of rebirth, they mostly become the wheel-turning kings of the four continents, mostly liberating beings from the immoral precepts and unwholesome paths of action, and repeatedly establishing them in the wholesome paths of action. Its power should be known to increase tenfold from before. Therefore, the bodhisattvas abide in the superior discipline, which is both the discipline of self-nature and can eliminate all defilements of immoral discipline, and can separately know all the causes and effects of all paths of action, and also desires to place others in wholesome actions, obtains great compassion, can perceive the suffering and poverty born from the karma of the realm of beings, the roots of virtue are purified, and a brief explanation is given from the aspects of rebirth and power, it should be known. The detailed explanation is as follows: As it is said in the sutra itself, from the stainless ground of the ten grounds. Because it is free from the defilement of immoral discipline, it is called the stainless ground, because it is free from the defilement of immoral discipline, it is called abiding in the superior discipline, therefore, what is the stainless ground, it should be known that it is abiding in the superior discipline. Then, what are the aspects of the bodhisattvas abiding in the superior mind? What are the signs? What are the characteristics? In this regard, when the bodhisattva initially abides in the superior discipline, the ten pure intentions that are remembered and relied upon, because those intentions of the mind that have been realized are more excellent and complete than the other ten, therefore, they truly transcend from abiding in the superior discipline, and enter into the abiding of the superior mind, and remember that with ten aspects my intentions of the mind have become pure, and remember that my ten wholesome intentions will not completely degenerate from these, and the part with outflows

One should generate the thought that one does not become attached to the aggregates and that they are also inharmonious. Also, to cultivate the antidote, one should generate the thought that one's consciousness is truly abiding. One should generate the thought that one is not one who will completely degenerate from this antidote. One should generate the thought that because one has made the antidote so firm, all those defiled dharmas and all the maras will not be able to overcome one. One should generate the thought that one's mind will enter into all the Buddha's teachings without hesitation. One should generate the thought that all ascetic practices will not harm one. One should generate the thought that one is devoted to the Mahayana with single-pointed concentration, but not to the inferior vehicles that are not that. One should generate the thought that one's mind is exceedingly delighted to accomplish all the benefits of all sentient beings. One should enter with these ten thoughts of mind. A bodhisattva who abides in abiding in higher mind will disparage all formations with various aspects of faults, and thus become weary of them. He will look at the benefits of the Buddha's wisdom with various aspects of benefits, and thus desire will arise in him. From the depths of his heart, he will contemplate the suffering of the realms of sentient beings with various aspects of suffering. He has a mind that looks upon those sentient beings. He is mindful of all formations, has a mind that relies on meaning, and blazes with diligence for the sake of enlightenment. He has a great mind of compassion for sentient beings. And he sees that the only way to liberate those sentient beings forever from suffering is wisdom that is not obscured by all defilements. And he sees that the antidote to all the causes of arising defilements, which discriminate the realm of dharma in order to truly accomplish liberation, is wisdom. And he sees that what accomplishes the light of wisdom is perfect samadhi. Contemplation, liberation, samadhi, and attainment

Practicing those is to take listening to the Bodhisattva's treasury as a guide, and to see listening as the foundation. Having seen it, one also makes great effort to fully seek listening. For the sake of listening to the sacred Dharma, there is no wealth or equipment, or internal and external objects that are not abandoned. There is no act of not serving the Lama. There is no desire that is not accepted. There is no physical harm that is not accepted. Then, just hearing one four-line verse will be very joyful, but a pile of jewels equal to filling the three thousand worlds is not like that. The Tathagata said that just a word of Dharma that completely purifies the conduct of the Bodhisattva, after thinking about it, will be very joyful, but obtaining the body of Indra, as well as the body of Brahma, as well as the body of Mara, as well as the body of the world protector, as well as the body of the Chakravartin, are not like that. If someone says to him, if you throw yourself into a great fire pit, and endure great suffering and harm, then, like this, I will tell you this sentence of the Dharma that completely purifies the conduct of the Bodhisattva, spoken by the Tathagata, after hearing it, he will think like this: For the sake of this sentence, like before, I am also willing to throw myself from the world of Brahma into a fire pit filled with the three thousand great thousand worlds, let alone in the evil realms? Even if I am with the beings who are in the suffering of hell, I must completely seek the Buddhadharma, let alone the small suffering and harm? Having initiated such diligence, after completely seeking the Dharma, the Buddhadharma is like this, relying on practicing the Dharma that is in accordance with the Dharma, and not purifying merely by relying on words and sounds, he will make such proper attention. Having understood that way, relying on listening itself, making proper attention to the characteristics of the Dharma, various desires
