For those who dwell in the Joyful Ground, the Bodhisattva extensively practices, constantly practices, and decisively practices the meditation of the Bodhisattva, and having thus attained it, will not completely fall away. For those who dwell in the Joyful Ground, it is the same up to the three grounds of dwelling in higher wisdom. Starting from the first dwelling in the Ground of No Sign, up to the Supreme Ground of the Bodhisattva, the Bodhisattva performs immeasurable, constant, and decisive practice of the Bodhisattva's meditation. In that, for those who dwell in the Ground of Practice with Faith, it should be understood that the Bodhisattva's meditation on No Sign is truly initiated. For those who dwell in the Joyful Ground, Higher Morality, Higher Mind, and Higher Wisdom, it should be understood that the Bodhisattva attains that meditation on No Sign. In the first Ground of No Sign, it is truly accomplished. In the second Ground of No Sign, it should be understood that the Bodhisattva's meditation on No Sign is completely purified. In the Ground of Individual Correct Knowledge and the Supreme Ground, it should be understood that the Bodhisattva individually experiences the fruit of that meditation on No Sign. What are the aspects of a Bodhisattva who dwells in the Ground of Practice with Faith? What are the signs? What are the characteristics? Answer: A Bodhisattva who dwells in the Ground of Practice with Faith has the power of individual discernment; he individually examines and examines the actions of a Bodhisattva with wisdom, but he does not become that nature by his own nature, so he does not attain the unchangeable, stable, and irreversible meditation of a Bodhisattva. Just as with meditation, the fruits of meditation, individual correct knowledge, supernormal powers, liberation, samadhi, and various forms of samapatti are also the same. He has not yet transcended the five fears: the fear of not having a livelihood, the fear of not having rules, the fear of death, the fear of bad destinies, and the fear of shame in the assembly. The benefit of sentient beings

For these, too, they examine separately, but not with heartfelt affection and compassion by nature of combination. Some engage in wrongdoing towards sentient beings through body, speech, and mind. Some become particularly attached to objects. Some also appear to universally cling to possessions. They may go with faith to the Buddhas and other Bodhisattvas, such as the Tathagata, or the Dharma, or the Sangha, or solely for that purpose, the power of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, or the cause, or the result, or for the purpose of attainment, or the means of attainment, or engaging in the field of activity, but they do not truly understand each separately for themselves. They possess small wisdom arising from hearing and thinking, but do not possess immeasurable wisdom. Even then, they may say something, for they are of a forgetful nature. The manifestation of the Bodhisattva path is slow and difficult. They also do not have a strong desire for great Bodhi. They are not blazing with diligence. They do not delight in dwelling in the profound. They are also forgetful in the three states, namely, some think perversely about objects of form, sound, smell, taste, touch, agreeable things, and disagreeable things, and the rebirth separate from the body, and forgetting the previous body from being born there, and the Dharma that has been heard, held, practiced, and spoken for a long time, some also forget, therefore they are forgetful in those three states. Some become hesitant in mind, able to receive, hold, and understand the meaning of the Dharma, but some are not. Some become mindful, while some become of a forgetful nature. They also do not truly know the means of taming sentient beings, nor do they truly know the means of practicing their own Buddha Dharma. To others, they also forcefully teach the Dharma, exhort and lead them into steadfastness, but those whom they forcefully lead are not with true understanding, but rather, at night.
