It is not the true nature of that. Therefore, it is called non-existent. Since this is the case, if the expressible nature of all phenomena does not exist from the very beginning in all respects, then how can they arise or cease? Therefore, it is called unborn and unceasing. For example, in the sky, various forms and actions of forms appear, so all these forms and actions of forms have opportunities to go, come, stand, jump, fall, stretch, etc. When these forms and actions of forms are clear, the sky appears completely pure only with the nature of formlessness. Similarly, for the unspeakable object like the sky, concepts made by various expressions and attachments connected with discursive elaborations, such as form and action, arise. All these concepts made by expressions, attachments connected with discursive elaborations, and various opportunities such as form and action are also distinguished by the unspeakable object like the sky. When Bodhisattvas, with their superior wisdom, completely eliminate the wrong concepts arising from expressions and attachments connected with discursive elaborations, then the superior wisdom of these superior Bodhisattvas manifests the unspeakable object as the emptiness of the nature of all expressions, like the completely pure sky, but they do not seek another nature beyond that. Therefore, phenomena are called like the sky. For example, illusion is neither as it appears, nor is it completely non-existent as illusion does. Similarly, these phenomena neither exist as they appear to children due to the power of expression and habit, nor are they completely non-existent in the unspeakable nature in the ultimate truth. They also, in this way of entering, neither exist like illusion, nor do they not exist, but are two.

Therefore, it is called like an illusion. In this way, a Bodhisattva does not diminish anything in all realms of Dharma, nor does he add, nor does he reduce, nor does he increase, nor does he enter into distinctions. He knows reality as it is and declares it as it is. One should understand that this is the appropriate means for a Bodhisattva. So how does a Bodhisattva restrain and abide? Here, a Bodhisattva, for those beings who desire food, drink, and other bodily necessities, if you are attached to outsiders, attached to insiders, attached to ascetics, attached to Brahmins, and so on, as previously explained, if you properly uphold the precepts, then I will give you as much food, drink, and other bodily necessities as you desire; if not, I will not give, thus restraining and abiding. Similarly, for those who desire fields, houses, goods displayed in houses, royal power, lands, wealth, and grains, as well as for those who desire skills and knowledge of crafts, as well as for those who desire his help, as well as for those who desire to marry and give away daughters, as well as especially for those who want to eat, as well as for those who want to gather together and eat, as well as for beings who desire help in doing things, if you are attached to outsiders, then I will, as previously stated, even help you in doing things, thus restraining and abiding in doing things. Furthermore, a Bodhisattva, for those beings who have made mistakes, who are harmed, killed, imprisoned, cut down, beaten, insulted, threatened, or expelled by others, and who are seized, as well as for those who are seized for redemption, mortgage, or sale, if you are attached to outsiders, attached to insiders, and so on, as previously explained, then I will liberate you from these sufferings, thus restraining and abiding while having the ability and power.

Likewise. Furthermore, the Bodhisattva, regarding sentient beings frightened by fears such as kings, thieves, water, fire, humans, non-humans, lack of livelihood, unpleasantness, etc., if he goes forth to take hold of them, then as before, extensively. Thus, I shall completely liberate you from these fears, he promises and abides. Furthermore, the Bodhisattva, regarding sentient beings who desire to encounter suffering, and those who desire to be separated from unpleasantness, if he goes forth to take hold of them, then as before, extensively. Thus, I shall cause you to encounter suffering, and to be separated from unpleasantness. He promises and abides. Furthermore, the Bodhisattva, regarding sentient beings afflicted by illness and suffering, if he goes forth to take hold of them, then as before, extensively. Thus, I shall liberate you from the suffering of this illness, he promises and abides. Those sentient beings also, by abandoning evil and properly taking up virtue, quickly rejoice in the Bodhisattva's promise and abiding, and this is called the Bodhisattva's means of promising and abiding. For those sentient beings who do not quickly rejoice in the Bodhisattva's promise and abiding regarding the aforementioned things, the Bodhisattva does not give those things to those who desire the aforementioned things, because he desires to benefit them, but not with the intention of not wanting to give. For sentient beings who are in suffering, and those who are frightened, and those who desire to encounter and be separated from suffering and unpleasantness, and those who are tormented by the suffering of illness, he temporarily sets them aside in order to benefit them, but not with the intention of wanting to set them aside, and not with the intention of not protecting them. Those sentient beings also thus enter forcefully from the Bodhisattva, and if not from the depths of their hearts, they will later rejoice in order to abandon evil and properly take up the roots of virtue. Which sentient beings neither beg from the Bodhisattva, nor are in suffering, from... onwards, extensively.
