Thus, through the reasoning that establishes validity, one thoroughly seeks loving-kindness. What is the cultivation of loving-kindness that eliminates harmful thoughts? It is the well-known nature of reality, and the inconceivable nature of reality. Thus, through the reasoning of the nature of reality, one thoroughly seeks loving-kindness. How does one thoroughly seek higher insight that focuses on dependent arising based on this very condition? I say, by hearing the Dharma that accords with it, and by thinking in accordance with it, when this arises, that arises, and when this ceases, that ceases. It is only that. Here, there is no lord of phenomena, no maker, no giver, and no emanator. There is also no inherent nature by which phenomena enter, and no other person. Thus, to understand each meaning individually is to thoroughly seek the meaning. Furthermore, these twelve limbs of dependent arising believe that the inner power is the outer power, believe in the inner and outer power, and thoroughly distinguish them. Thus, one thoroughly seeks the entity. Furthermore, what is that ignorance? It is not knowing the beginning, and so on, extensively explaining and thoroughly distinguishing the dependent arising as it is classified. Thus, one thoroughly seeks the self-characteristic nature. Furthermore, all those conditioned phenomena of dependent arising arise from what has not arisen, and after arising, they are impermanent in sequence, and because they are of the nature of birth, aging, sickness, and death, they are suffering, and without self, and because there is no person to be designated within, they are empty, and without self. Thus, one thoroughly distinguishes. Thus, one thoroughly seeks the general characteristic nature. Furthermore, in order to know these conditioned phenomena of impermanence, suffering, emptiness, and selflessness as they truly are, whatever is the Dharma in which I am completely deluded is accompanied by afflictions, and is the dark side. Whatever is without delusion is without afflictions.
