It is the true skeleton. Regarding this, when the mind attends to the sign of what is not a true skeleton, then one merely believes it to be a skeleton, but not a skeleton of bones. When the mind attends to the sign of a true skeleton, then one believes it to be a skeleton of bones. The transformations of things belonging to form, which take external color and the like as their object, are of three kinds: transformation by their own nature, transformation by others, and a combination of both. Among these, from complete decay to complete swelling is transformation by their own nature. From being completely eaten to being completely scattered is transformation by others. Among these, a pile of bones, a skeleton, and a skeleton of bones are transformations by a combination of both. Thus, by fully and accurately understanding the nature of external impurity in such a way, one is completely searching for the self-nature of external impurity. How does one completely search for the general characteristic of impurity? The external appearance of the internal body is beautiful, and the color and the like have not deteriorated, and the external appearance of the external body is ugly, and the color and the like have changed. This, along with the internal beauty, color, and the like that have not deteriorated, have the same nature and the same characteristics. My beauty and color and the like also have such characteristics. Whatever sentient beings possess beauty and color and the like, their beauty and color and the like are also like this, they are the characteristics of this external thing. Thus, one believes. In this way, one is completely searching for the general characteristic. How does one completely search in all aspects? He thinks to himself: I have not fully and accurately understood the impure nature of beauty and color and the like, therefore, I generate desire for the internal and external beauty and color and the like. This belongs to the dark side and is inverted. This dharma is afflict

Being with afflictions, being with suffering, being with ripening, being with harm, Being with complete burning, because of this, from that basis, later birth, aging, sickness, death, sorrow, lamentation, suffering, displeasure, and disturbances will arise. Like pleasantness and color, if one can truly see that it has the nature of unpleasantness, that is the white side. Because that dharma is without afflictions, without suffering, without ripening, without harm, without complete burning, that basis can stop later disturbances and so on. Therefore, my black side should not be accepted, it should be abandoned, it should be discarded. The white side, even if it has not arisen, should be made to arise. Even if it has arisen, it should be made to abide, increase, and expand, thinking like this, one should seek all aspects in that way. How does one seek all times completely? One thinks like this: inner pleasantness and color, etc., also depend on the present time to arise; outer unpleasantness and things that are not like color also depend on the present time to arise. This also used to be pleasant in the past, and that which used to be pleasant in the past is like this, for example, similar to this of mine that depends on the present time. Gradually, depending on the present time, it becomes unpleasant. Depending on the present time, the pleasantness and color, etc., of my pleasant self will also be like this in the future, for example, like that external one that depends on the present time, it will not change, that is impossible. Therefore, this body of mine will also arise like this and change like this in the past, future, and present times, and it does not go beyond this nature, thinking like this, one should seek all times completely. How does one seek all reasons completely? One thinks like this: inner and outer Which is pleasant or the self that will become unpleasant

Or, there are no sentient beings at all, so where does the notion of loveliness or unloveliness come from? The so-called names, symbols, designations, and terms are merely appearances; they are merely bodies. For example: "Life, warmth, and consciousness, as long as they are in the body, once abandoned, the body becomes like wood, without feeling, lying down." As it is said, after death, the stages of gradual transformation are like this: becoming something different, even becoming bones. My body is produced by past karma and afflictions, formed from the impure substances of parents, and nourished by rice and warm porridge. Because of these reasons, the so-called loveliness and color are also illusory. Inside and outside the body, at all times, it is only impurity. Thinking like this, one seeks all kinds of reasons from the perspectives of the conventional, the ultimate, and the basis. Then one thinks: if one constantly cultivates and becomes accustomed to the contemplation of impurity, one can abandon the attachment to desire, and the attachment to desire should also be abandoned. Thinking like this, one seeks all kinds of reasons for doing things. Then one thinks: the Bhagavan also said that constantly cultivating and becoming accustomed to the contemplation of impurity can abandon the attachment to desire. This is temporarily the teaching that I believe in. The more I become accustomed to and remember the contemplation of impurity, the less I will generate the entanglement of attachment, not generating it, and separating from the attachment that has already arisen. I have such wisdom, view, and conduct for myself. There is such an act of inference. Like this, remembering the Dharma of the opposing side, the object of the opposing side, thinking how will afflictions arise? In this way, one seeks all kinds of reasons for establishing the correct reasoning. Then one thinks: the cultivation of impurity becomes the antidote to abandoning attachment, which is the famous Dharma nature, inconceivable.
