Is the combination. The distinction of time is cultivating the path for a long time, and not cultivating the path for a long time. If these four distinctions are the cause for establishing the eight types of individuals, then, the one whose faculties are fully matured is capable. The one whose faculties are not fully matured is incapable. Knowing yoga is being skilled in everything. Not knowing yoga is not being skilled in everything. Constantly doing and respectfully doing in combination is constantly doing, called constant diligence. Not constantly doing and not respectfully doing in combination is not constantly doing, called non-constant diligence. Cultivating the path for a long time is having completely habituated. Not cultivating the path for a long time is not having completely habituated. Thus, the eight types of individuals are established by the distinction of faculties, yoga, combination, and the distinction of time. If a certain individual's faculties are not fully matured, even if they are skilled in everything, constantly doing, and have completely habituated, they will not attain excellent virtuous Dharma. Among them, even if the faculties are fully matured, if they are not skilled in everything, they will not attain it. If the faculties are fully matured and they are skilled in everything, but if they do not constantly do, the supernormal powers will not quickly manifest. Among them, if the faculties are fully matured, and they are skilled in means, and constantly doing, but if they have not completely habituated, then they have not done their own benefit and what needs to be done. Therefore, if the faculties are fully matured, skilled in means, constantly doing, and have completely habituated, then they will attain it, the supernormal powers will quickly manifest, and they will have done their own benefit and what needs to be done. What are the Maras? What are the actions of the Maras? Answer: When a yogi is diligent in yoga, they should know that there are four Maras and extremely many actions of the Maras, and they should also completely know them and completely abandon them. What are the four Maras? The Mara of the aggregates, the Mara of afflictions, the Mara of death, and the son of the gods.

is a demon. Among them, the skandha-demon refers to the five aggregates of close grasping. The klesha-demon refers to the various kleshas that exist in the three realms. The death-demon refers to the time when beings die in their respective categories of beings. The son of the gods-demon refers to the sons of the gods born in the desire realm who come to obstruct those who are diligently striving for virtue in order to be liberated from the demons of skandhas, kleshas, and death, and to distract them, and who have obtained power; this is called the son of the gods-demon. Among them, based on where one dies, by what one dies, what death is, and what obstacle prevents one from being liberated from death, the four demons are established. Among them, the five aggregates of close grasping arise and die immediately. Kleshas cause future rebirths, and after being born, they die. When dying and transmigrating, the life force of beings ceases, and the nature of what is done at the time of death is death. The son of the gods-demon comes to obstruct those who are diligently striving to be liberated from death, and therefore they cannot be liberated from the nature of death, or they can only be liberated at another time. Among them, slightly belonging to the power of the demon means that one who has abandoned desire through the worldly path of ordinary beings dwells here or is born here. Belonging to power means not having abandoned desire. Among them, not having abandoned desire means that one has fallen into their hands and can only act as they please. Abandoning desire means being completely liberated from the bonds and nets of the demon, so he will also generally come to this world. Among them, the deeds of the demon mean that if someone has renunciation and develops a desire for virtue, but is controlled by desire and turns back, this should be understood as the deeds of the demon. Abiding by closing the doors of the senses.
