is called the reasoning of suchness. What is the reasoning that establishes validity? That is, the aggregates are impermanent, or dependently originated, or suffering, or empty, or selfless, these three valid cognitions, such as, are discerned by trustworthy words, as well as by direct perception and inference, and captivate the minds of the noble reasonings of validity, with those three valid cognitions, such as, they establish that the aggregates are indeed impermanent, or indeed dependently originated, or indeed suffering, or indeed empty, or indeed selfless, and they establish it, that is called the reasoning of establishing validity. What is the reasoning of the nature of phenomena? Why do the aggregates become like that? Why does the abiding of the world become like that? Why is the characteristic of earth solidity? The characteristic of water is moisture? The characteristic of fire is heat? The characteristic of wind is movement? Why are the aggregates impermanent? Why is nirvana peaceful? Similarly, why is the characteristic of form the ability to be shown as form? The characteristic of feeling is to experience? The characteristic of perception is to make everything known? The characteristic of formations is to manifest and create? The characteristic of consciousness is to make it known? That is the nature of phenomena, because the nature of those phenomena is like that, and the essence of those is like that, therefore the nature of phenomena is only what that is, that is the reasoning, combination, and means here. Thus, like that, or different, or not different, in order to establish in the mind, and to understand in the mind, in all places it relies only on the nature of phenomena, and it is the reasoning only of the nature of phenomena, that is called the reasoning of the nature of phenomena. Thus, with the four reasonings, it is certain to enable understanding for showing the aggregates and for showing anything else, thus the enumeration of the two aspects, and the aspect of number, and the aspect of discerning with reasoning, with those showings, and what is the true understanding of those, that is attention, that is listening to the sacred Dharma and attention. What is uninterrupted? Interruption is of two kinds, internal
