Similarly, some people here cause harm or create significant benefit to any basis such as the Buddha, Dharma, Sangha, or Lama. As for being definitely on the side of disharmony, it is like some people here taking up only non-virtuous actions for as long as they live, and never doing anything virtuous even once. As for eliminating the side of disharmony, it is like some people here abandoning non-virtuous actions that have become the side of disharmony, and, being free from desire, thoroughly purifying virtuous actions. What are the perverted actions? That is to be viewed in three ways: perverted action, perverted grasping, and perverted delight. As for perverted action, it is like some people here who should kill other beings, but instead kill another. In that case, there is killing, but there is no fault of killing. However, a fault similar to and in accordance with killing will be generated. Even if other beings are not killed, but something similar to a being is struck, and one thinks, "I have killed a being," then there is neither killing nor the fault of killing. However, a fault similar to killing and in accordance with killing will be generated. Just as with killing, the perverted action should be understood accordingly for the other paths of action such as taking what is not given. As for perverted grasping, it is like some people here who see and say thus: "There is no giving. There is no offering." These wrong views should be elaborated. They think thus: killing or causing others to kill, taking what is not given, engaging in sexual misconduct with regard to desirable things, speaking falsely, slandering, speaking harshly, speaking idle words, or not giving gifts, not observing vows, not accumulating merit, not abiding by discipline. Because that basis is either sinful or meritorious,

Thinking that it will not change into anything else. Like this, some people here see it this way and say this: Those who hate Brahmins, hate Brahma, and hate the gods should be killed. If they are killed, from that basis, it will only turn into merit, and will not turn into sin. Taking what is not given to those people, engaging in sexual misconduct with desire, lying, sowing discord, using harsh words, and speaking frivolous words will also only turn into merit, and will not turn into non-merit. The perverted joy in this is that some people here completely take up non-virtuous dharmas, dwell and are very happy, and those people are like practicing the dharma of play. What are the categories of actions? There are actions that have been done, and there are actions that have not been done. There are actions that have been accumulated, and there are actions that have not been accumulated. There are actions that have been thought about, and there are actions that have not been thought about. Similarly, there are actions that are certain to ripen, and actions that are not certain to ripen. There are actions that have already ripened, and actions that have not yet ripened. There are virtuous and non-virtuous actions, and actions that are unspecified. There are actions that are included by vows, and actions that are not included by vows. There are actions that are neither included by vows nor not included by vows. There are actions that arise from generosity, actions that arise from moral discipline, and actions that arise from meditation. There are merit, non-merit, and immovability. There are actions that will be experienced as pleasure, actions that will be experienced as suffering, and actions that will be experienced as neither suffering nor pleasure. There are actions that will be experienced in this life, actions that will be experienced after birth, and actions that will be experienced in other instances. There are past, future, and present actions. There are actions that are associated with desire, actions that are associated with form, and actions that are associated with formlessness. There are trainees, non-trainees, and those who are neither trainees nor non-trainees. There are actions to be abandoned by seeing, actions to be abandoned by meditation, and actions that are not to be abandoned. The ripening of black is black, the ripening of white is white, and the ripening of black and white is black and white. Actions that are neither black nor white also have no ripening, and from there, they will be exhausted.
