Is suffering caused by past actions, or by the causes of harm in this life? If it is caused by past actions, then old karma should be purified through asceticism, and if what arises now is prevented by inaction and water wheels, then future evils will not arise in this way, and it is not right to elaborate in this way. If it is caused by the causes of harm in this life, then whatever this person experiences, it cannot be said that everything is caused by past actions. If so, the suffering caused by harm cannot be said to be caused by past actions, nor can it be said to be caused by human actions, so this statement is also illogical. However, there is indeed suffering that can be definitely determined to be caused by past actions, such as some people being born in evil realms, bad castes, and families full of suffering due to their own karma. There is also suffering caused by mixed causes, such as serving a king, which is suffering caused by causes that have no result. Just as with serving a king, engaging in household affairs, agriculture, theft, and helping others, those with merit will succeed, while the actions of those without merit will have no result. There is also something that can be definitely determined to be caused by the cause of human action, such as new karma that will propel the creation of new life, listening to the true Dharma and realizing all dharmas, practicing conduct, learning the arts and crafts, and so on, which are all in accordance with the cause of human action. Who, then, are those who claim that Ishvara and others are the creators? For example, here are some shramanas or brahmins, starting from "some people," as explained in detail before, whatever this person experiences, all of these are caused by the causes manifested by Ishvara, or by the causes manifested by others, such as Ishvara and others.

Those who claim that disharmony is the cause. Why do they see and speak like that? It is done through scripture and reasoning. The scripture is as before. What is the reasoning? Like this, some here are तर्कཔ་ (Sanskrit, tarka, tarka, debaters), which is also as before. It is seen that even when one does not wish to, one is driven to act on cause and effect. For example, sentient beings, even when they are the cause, want to engage in virtue, but involuntarily engage in sin. At the time of the result, they also want to be born in the happy realms, born among the gods of the higher desire realm, but they will be born in the lower realms. They want to enjoy happiness, but only experience suffering. Therefore, they think like this: there is some kind of creator, giver, and transformer of things, a powerful being like a father, or something else like that. To that, one should say this: In summary: the ability does not exist, belonging to it is contradictory, there is need and no need, and the cause is also flawed. Is the power of the Lord of Power to transform the earth born from the cause of karma and yoga, or is it thought to be born from no cause? If it is born from the cause of karma and yoga, then it cannot be said that beings are born from the cause of karma and yoga of the Lord of Power. If it is without cause, then it cannot be said that beings are not born from the cause of the Lord of Power. Does the Lord of Power belong to beings, or is it thought not to belong to them? If it belongs to them, because it has the same nature as beings, it cannot be said that the Lord of Power creates beings. If it does not belong to them, then it cannot be said that the liberated one creates beings. Is it created because there is a need, or is it thought to be created without a need? If it is created because there is a need
